Veteran linebacker Ray Lewis announced that he will retire from the NFL after this season. He was put on the active roster for Sunday's wild card game against the Colts, so it could be his last game.

Lewis has been voted to 13 pro-bowls, been named first-team All-Pro 7 times, and has been voted Defensive Player of the Year 2 times in his 17 year career.
 
Are they already giving up on the playoffs? He had an unbelievable career and it won't be the same watching the Ravens and not seeing Ray Lewis pumping up the team before and throughout the game.
 
I can honestly say I won't miss him. :P

He will definitely be in the hall of fame though. He's one of the best of all-time. He has been the leader of the Ravens for a long time now.
 
I have nothing but respect for Ray Lewis. Well, fear... fear and respect.
 
It's really sad that seemingly no one remembers that Ray Lewis is a murderer. It still boggles my mind that basically got out of that without much penalty.
 
I honestly have no idea whether he is guilty or not, but he wasn't found guilty. And I'm not gonna debate whether he is or not because I know way too little about it.

The only thing I know for sure is that he's a great player, so I'll still respect him on the field either way.

Yeah, no doubt, he's arguably the greatest linebacker of all time. No one can take anything away from that.

I mention it to my friend just about every day, as he's a Ravens fan. He often talks about Ben Roethlisberger being a rapist. :P

Anyways, I have to agree with Homerunsox2005, the dance was cool. ;D
