What is going on with the Los Angeles Lakers? They have been  playing horribly for the past 2 seasons! They are so supposed to be kings! "Royalty" as Kobe said. It seems that ever since Phil Jackson left, they have been horrible. They have excellent player, I think they have no excuse to be playing the way they are. What do you think?
 
They're getting kind of old, for one thing. I wouldn't have that be the main reason they've struggled recently, but it might be part of it. Kind of nice to see them not be one of the dominant teams.
 
Yeah, I am loving every minute of the Lakers playing bad. I do not like the Lakers. :P

Age has certainly become an issue for Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant, and Pau Gasol. Dwight Howard is the only good young player the Lakers seem to have now, and there is a chance Dwight Howard doesn't return to LA next season.
 
I don't like the Lakers. Not gonna lie, I think the Lakers need Kobe to retire. I know he is their best player, but I think because of his age, and the way he plays, they need to start to rebuild and Kobe should be the first to go. Howard hasn't been playing very well this season, but he can become a star again if he wants to be.
 
If you think they should go into the rebuilding process, it probably would be better if they just let Dwight Howard go. As we saw in Orlando, Dwight Howard isn't the type of player who is okay with losing. Dwight Howard constantly complaining wouldn't be good for the young guys they bring in from the draft, if they were to rebuild. I don't think he would set a very good example.
