Well, we all know that Amare Chauncey Billups, and Melo are already two superstars on the Knicks' roster.

But according to a http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/knicks/nba_opens_with_garden_party_pjxcN08cM2ZsiSmg6BD6MK]recent article[/url], the Knicks are closer to signing Chris Paul, if they can be creative and find a way to seal the deal, since the interest of playing in NY is there.

Imagine if this all goes down... New York will finally be a title contending team, no longer missing the playoffs or getting ousting in the first round.

Suppose Billups will have to take the backseat PG role as almost certainly Paul will start over him.

Anyway, opinions? This could be big.

The knicks certainly have a better chance then the heat if they sign chris paul. The two best players on the knicks besides the big three in that situation would be Landry Fields and Chauncey Billups, who are a lot better than James Jones and Mario Chalmers.

Billups been crap since 05.

Who are the Knicks going to trade for him? Who Who Who? Do they have anymore 1st rounders left (like it would matter)? And who owns the Hornets? I believe It's David Stern. Chris Paul requested a trade? LOL he's not going to get it.

Chris Paul isn't going to NY

I wouldn't really care if Chris Paul went to New York. I guess that would be pretty cool. If this happens, the East is going to be stacked. Bulls, Heat, Celtics, Knicks, Magic, and the Hawks are even pretty good.

If Dwight leaves the Magic they wont be nearly as good... Sure theyll have Carter and Arenas but those guys are hardly in their prime...

Honestly, I wouldn't even count the Magic as a good team anymore. They weren't that good last season. They'll be nothing noteworthy for sure if Dwight Howard leaves.
