Im sure every hockey fan (and every Canadian) knows his name.
2 years ago, in the game against Russia at the World Juniors, Canada was down by one goal in a game that decided who goes to the gold medal game. 5 seconds left in the 3rd, Jordan Eberle gets the puck, and ties it up. He then scores in the shootout to give Canada the win, and they would win gold for the 5th time in a row.
Then, during this years World Juniors game against the US, Canada was losing 3-5 late in the 3rd. Thats when Canada's hero struck again, two quick 3rd period goals to tie it up. Unfortunately, all those goals meant nothing because Canada would lose. But he proved he can score goals, even under pressure. He also lead the tournament in points and goals.
He finished his last WHL season with these stats: GP:57 - G:50 - A:56 - PTS:106
These are Hall and Seguins stats:
Hall: GP:57 - G:40 - A:66 - PTS:106
Seguin: GP:63 - G:48 - A:58 - PTS:106
Jordan Eberle was selected 22nd overall by the Oilers in the 07-08 NHL draft. Seguin or Hall are the top two players in this seasons draft. The Oilers are 30th in the NHL. Jordan Eberle is playing with the Falcons.
What does this mean? The Oilers are pretty much getting the 1st overall pick. Add Hall/Seguin with Eberle and you have two of the best players not in the NHL, on one NHL team! Hall and Eberle played on the 1st line for Canada at this years WJC. So imagine that chemistry in the NHL!
This is what keeps me a proud Oiler fan. Just wanted to share this with everybody.
GO OILERS GO!
FALL 4 HALL!
