Earlier this evening, Johan Santana threw a no-hitter against the Cardinals. It is the third no-hitter this season. It is the first no-hitter in Mets franchise history (51 years). Santana threw a total of 134 pitches. He had five walks. The Mets ended up beating the Cardinals 2-0.
 
I was just posting this then my phone froze delete the other one sorry this in incredible happy for him and the score was 8-0 not 2-0
 
Good for him. Been a while since he really did anything big.
 
Wow. Been a while since he's been in the news. Congrats to him! :)

There have been a ton of great Mets pitchers...Cone, Seaver, Gooden, Koosman....pretty crazy that Santana is the first Met to throw a no-no...
