Ice Hockey vs Roller Hockey

So, I've been interested in both Ice Hockey and Roller Hockey since I was a kid. I played on the streets with my friends and I've been to a lot of Ice Hockey games. The only key difference--to me anyway--is one is on ice with a blade and one is on concrete or wood with wheels. If I had to pick one or the other, I'd prefer ice hockey. What about the rest of you?

I'm from Canada and ice hockey here is just called hockey. Ice hockey is very popular, and hardly anyone is interested in roller hockey. I guess it may not be that way in some parts of the world, but I prefer ice hockey, both to watch and to play.

There is another key difference. In general, in roller hockey a ball is used. In ice hockey they use a puck.
