In today's era, how good would Dan Marino be?

Same tier as Brady, Manning, Rodgers

or less?

Mike and Mike brought this to attention. How the era's are different and how it's more QB oriented now more than then.

It's interesting.
 
Well I'm not old enough to ever see him play, but I would say he's in the same tier as them.

It's the only thing we can go off of, hence the hypothetical question.

If Marino got 49 touchdowns in the 90's, he would probably destroy this league. Easy.

Yeah but that still isn't good enough. You would have actually been there, seeing him play week-by-week. Besides, the NFL is a lot different now than it was then.
 
It isn't that hard to guess how he would do in this era. Defensive players could mug the wide receiver back then. I safe to say Marino would be the best QB in todays era.

It's really not that simple. The NFL has changed too much to know for certain.
