It was the perfect shot to end a perfect season. Then came the tragedy so unthinkable it didn't seem real.

Wes Leonard's game-winning layup in overtime brought the Fennville High School crowd to its feet, and joyous teammates and fans quickly surrounded their star player. Then the seemingly impossible happened: Leonard collapsed and died. He was just 16.

RIP...this happened about 50miles from where I live. I saw an article on my phone about it just hours after it happened. So sad, he was just a little bit younger then me. The team has decided to play in districts on Monday in his memory.

visitation was today...the wait was over 45minutes. Cardiologists said even if their was a defibrillator there and they used it on scene chances are they wouldn't have been able to bring him back.
