What are your thoughts about flopping? Frank Vogel, head coach of the Indiana Pacers, called out the Miami Heat before the series started calling them the most flopping team in the NBA. David Stern later said that Oscars should be given out instead of MVP awards.

From ESPN:
"I think it's time to look at (flopping) in a more serious way," Stern said, "because it's only designed to fool the referee. It's not a legitimate play in my judgment. I recognize if there's contact (you) move a little bit, but some of this is acting. Even though I originally had no respect for Stern and his actions that have detrimented the NBA this was a great quote. I love how he directed it towards LeBron and his flopping hence the quote, 'We should give out Oscars rather than MVP trophies.' I couldn't stop laughing when I heard about that. ;D

Flopping annoys me, and it's pretty cheap, but it's smart to do any little thing that can help your team win. If you flop, and the foul ends up giving your team the edge in a game, it was a good play.

That's my thoughts on it. I don't like it, but if it works, players are going to do it.

Yeah, flopping is annoying and kind of gives basketball a bad name, but there is really no way of stopping it.

Flopping happens in almost every sport, though (faking getting hit by a pitch in baseball, faking being tripped in hockey or soccer, etc.).

Well I like to use flopping when I play ( I am 6'4'' and kinda slim ) because its a great way to get the ball and stop the opposing team but in the NBA I mean its still part of the game as in any sport where you can do such thing so I am not against it but I am also not for it.
