So it will be Liverpool versus Sevilla. Neither of the teams look particularly very strong, although Liverpool great escape against Dortmund at Anfield shows that they have the character to win the title, and they have a much bigger history that in instances like this could play a major role. I want Sevilla to win, but I think that Liverpool will win, still, you never know, Klopp defensive system still needs a lot of work and a couple of mistakes can put Sevilla ahead and change the game.

I believe that on paper Sevilla is better team but that never played a big role in football. Liverpool is capable of great things and I am not talking about these players but in general. It is a club with great tradition and it players most of the times live up to the expectation of that tradition. Somehow they just go along with it. They become better players for the most important 90 minutes so It will be a very close game even if Sevilla scores in the first half two or more goals.

It's not surprising to me actually that Liverpool lost to Sevilla. They dominated the first half and they should've been up by more than 1 goal. Unfortunately their defense let them down yet again with a poor performance during the second half. It's kind of a shame really considering their run in the Europa League was quite great. So Sevilla crowned as champions yet again for the 3rd time in a row.

I didn't watch this match but I did hear a lot about it on social media and it seems like Liverpool did not play as well as they could have done at all which leads me to think even though it sounds harsh they may have deserved this defeat. It never fails to amaze me how these football players will know how important a match is to not just them but also their fans and yet they still some how manage to mess it up angering their fans.

As a neutral, the match was a great watch. The atmosphere was fantastic and the game was thrilling throughout. I think in the end, Liverpool fans will be disappointed with the finish and missing out on European football next year, but maybe it will give them a chance to really focus on the league and push for a 4th or 5th place finish. As for Sevilla, its pretty obvious they're above the level of competition offered by the Europa league. In my opinion, it kind of ruins the intensity of competition when Sevilla is almost guaranteed to be in the final. Hopefully they make a stronger push in the Champions league next year and we end up with some fresh blood in the final.

Well, so I was actually wrong about Liverpool winning, but I was right about the reasons why they lost. Klopp really needs to overhaul that shambolic defense, I only watched the second half but after Sevilla scored to draw the game, I was actually feeling embarrassed for Liverpool as they were shaking in fear, especially the defense. Now, to be fair, the first two Sevilla goals were magnificent, although they were benefited from a terrible midfield and defense (the second goal in particular), but still, the lack of attitude and defensive collapse are a very worrying side for a team that was playing for a place in the Champions League, the main goal for every team that could not reach the top four.
