Edler suspended 2 games

Edler is suspended for 2 games for hitting goalie Mike Smith who was well out of his crease.

I find this kind of dumb....sure you gotta protect the goalies but there should also be a rule that if the goalie leaves the crease, he is free game for anyone to hit...just like it is in lacrosse.

i don't agree with it, but its how the league does things. their is nothing edler could have done. he can't stop when he's skating with a full head of steam and sees a goalie decide to play the puck behind the net like that.
