The Miami Dolphins reached an agreement with former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace on a five-year deal worth $60 million, with $30 million guaranteed, a person with knowledge of the negotiations told USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because Wallace was undergoing a physical and had yet to sign the deal Tuesday night.

The Dolphins later confirmed the Wallace signing in a tweet Tuesday night.

Even before the three-day negotiating period, it was clear Wallace was on the Dolphins' radar. Then, as USA TODAY Sports reported on Sunday, the Dolphins spent the weekend talking to Wallace's agent.

What are your thoughts on this signing? :)

60 million seems a bit much for Wallace. I thought before last season that we should get rid of him for the draft pick. I would have liked to have kept him, but I'm glad we didn't break the bank.

I would have liked to see this, but I guess he'll fit well in Miami.

Wow. Nice work!

As much as I would love to take credit for that, I didn't make it. :P That was from the NFL's Facebook page.

A.J. Green and Mike Wallace together... That would have been extraordinary.

That's basically my dream. We would have an unstoppable passing game... and that's hardly an exaggeration.
