Sculpture Of Shohei Ohtani In Japan Is Going Viral

SAPPORO, JAPAN - FEBRUARY 04: Workers touch up a snow sculpture of Japanese baseball player Shohei Ohtani during the 75th Sapporo Snow Festival on February 04, 2025 in Sapporo, Japan. The Sapporo Snow Festival, held annually in early February, is one of Japan's most iconic winter events, attracting over two million visitors to marvel at its stunning snow and ice sculptures across three main venues: Odori Park, Susukino, and Tsudome. The festival, which began in 1950 with six snow sculptures created by local students, has grown into a global spectacle featuring large-scale snow art, illuminated displays, and various winter activities.

The Los Angeles Dodgers reinforced their recent dominance of Major League Baseball by winning the eighth World Series title in franchise history and their second in the past five seasons.

After finishing with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West, the Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees in the World Series.

This offseason, the Dodgers continued to improve their team as they added notable players including starting pitcher Blake Snell, starting pitcher Roki Sasaki and relief pitcher Tanner Scott.

Although Sasaki is the newest and most hyped Japanese player on the Dodgers, you can’t forget their proven Japanese star Shohei Ohtani, who just won the 2024 NL MVP award.

Now, a sculpture of Ohtani and his dog Decoy is going viral on social media, via MLB on X.

Ohtani has been one of the best, if not the best, players in baseball over the past four seasons.

He recently won his third MVP award in those four seasons, his first in the National League.

As a DH, Ohtani played in 159 games for the Dodgers and batted .310 with 54 home runs, 59 stolen bases, 130 RBIs and a 1.036 OPS.

Ohtani also went viral on social media during the World Series parade as he had Decoy with him.

It will be interesting to see if Ohtani can keep up his historic production next season as the Dodgers look for the first back-to-back World Series titles in their history.

Analyst Makes A Bold Statement About Roki Sasaki

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 22: Pitcher Roki Sasaki poses during a Los Angeles Dodgers press conference at Dodger Stadium on January 22, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers won the eighth World Series title in franchise history by defeating the New York Yankees in 2024.

After finishing the season with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West, the Dodgers cruised to the World Series title in five games.

The offseason has seen the Dodgers make multiple moves to further improve their roster, including acquiring starting pitcher Blake Snell, relief pitcher Tanner Scott and starting pitcher Roki Sasaki.

One MLB analyst recently made a bold statement about Sasaki and how he compares to other pitchers to come from Japan.

“In terms of just the raw materials, I do think he has more than maybe any other Japanese pitcher before him,” Dylan Hernandez said, via Foul Territory.

— Foul Territory (@FoulTerritoryTV) February 3, 2025

Hernandez noted the difference between how pitchers are used in Major League Baseball compared to how they are used in Japan.

Japanese pitchers typically pitch once per week while pitchers in MLB pitch every five days or so.

When comparing Sasaki to Japanese pitchers Shohei Ohtani and Yu Darvish, Hernandez said he believes Sasaki could have the best attributes of any of them.

In 2024, the 23-year-old appeared in 18 games and was 10-5 with a 2.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.0 innings pitched.

Sasaki hasn’t thrown the number of innings MLB pitchers typically throw, his usage by the Dodgers will be something to watch in 2025, especially early on.

Teoscar Hernandez Has Honest Admission About Playing With Dodgers

SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 08: Teoscar Hernández #37 of the Los Angeles Dodgers rounds the bases after hitting a grand slam in the third inning against the San Diego Padres during Game Three of the Division Series at Petco Park on October 08, 2024 in San Diego, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history after finishing with a regular season record of 98-64 and winning the National League West.

With two World Series titles in the past five seasons, the Dodgers have cemented themselves as one of the best teams in Major League Baseball on a yearly basis.

This offseason, the Dodgers improved their roster even more by acquiring pitchers Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants, Roki Sasaki from Japan and Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres.

While adding new talent is always good news, the Dodgers were also able to keep Teoscar Hernandez, who was a free agent.

The outfielder recently revealed his honest thoughts about playing for the Dodgers.

“The atmosphere, it was different,” Hernandez said, via Foul Territory.
The atmosphere with the Dodgers is just different, says Teoscar Hernández. pic.twitter.com/B1mTYdJJDa

— Foul Territory (@FoulTerritoryTV) January 30, 2025

Hernandez details that the Dodgers organization treats everybody involved differently and genuinely cares about how each person is doing.

After playing for three other teams in his career, Hernandez had a great first season with the Dodgers and was a big contributor to the World Series title.

In 2024, he played in 154 games and batted .272 with 33 home runs, 99 RBIs and an .840 OPS.

The L.A. roster appears to look even better on paper heading into the 2025 season than it did heading into the 2024 season, which resulted in a championship.

Hernandez and the Dodgers will look to win the team’s fourth straight NL West title and their 12th in the past 13 seasons.

The Dodgers will likely be favored to win another championship in 2025, and the question will be, is there any team that can take down the reigning champs?

Insider Addresses Reported Concern About Dodgers’ Defense

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - NOVEMBER 01: A general view of the field during the 2024 World Series Celebration Show at Dodger Stadium on November 01, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their second World Series title in five seasons by defeating the New York Yankees.

They also have won the National League West in 11 of the past 12 seasons.

With a roster that is already overflowing with talent, the Dodgers continued to add key players this offseason.

They acquired starting pitcher Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants, starting pitcher Roki Sasaki from Japan, and relief pitcher Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres.

While the pitching and offense look to be elite, one MLB insider addressed the concern about the defense.

“The Dodgers don’t necessarily view their defense as a strength, but they also don’t necessarily view it as a weakness,” Ken Rosenthal said, via Foul Territory.
Is the @Dodgers defense a concern? @Ken_Rosenthal weighs in on #FTLive pic.twitter.com/BX9cnMQ7O6

— Foul Territory (@FoulTerritoryTV) January 28, 2025

The specific pieces of the defense that Rosenthal mentions are corner outfielders Teoscar Hernandez and Michael Conforto, a duo that lacks elite range.

Along with the outfield, Mookie Betts will be playing shortstop full-time for the first time, and he graded out as below average in 2024 when he played there.

However, he now has a full offseason and spring training to prepare for the position, so his defensive grade will likely improve.

It will be something to watch as the 2025 season approaches with the Dodgers poised to dominate again.

Analyst Makes Bold Prediction About Dodgers’ Win Total For 2025 Season

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 25: Freddie Freeman #5 of the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrates after hitting a walk-off grand slam during the tenth inning against the New York Yankees during Game One of the 2024 World Series at Dodger Stadium on October 25, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers made the postseason for a 12th straight season after finishing with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West a third straight time.

After another dominant regular season, the Dodgers made a postseason run to their eighth World Series title, defeating the New York Yankees in five games.

This offseason, the Dodgers added even more significant talent to their roster.

Some notable acquisitions include starting pitcher Blake Snell, starting pitcher Roki Sasaki and relief pitcher Tanner Scott.

One MLB analyst made a bold prediction about how many wins the Dodgers will get in the 2025 season.

“The Dodgers will win a major league record 117-plus games,” Keith Costas said, via MLB Network.

— MLB Network (@MLBNetwork) January 28, 2025

Costas believes the Dodgers will break the record of 116 regular season wins that was set by the Seattle Mariners in 2001.

The Dodgers came close to the record in 2022 when they won 111 games, but Costas believes 2025 is the year that the record is finally broken.

With the amount of star power in Los Angeles, many people likely see why Costas made this prediction, but only time will tell if he is correct.

If the Dodgers can stay healthy, they might have a legitimate chance to break the Mariners’ record.

It should be noted that Seattle did not reach the World Series that season.

The Dodgers are looking for their first back-to-back World Series titles as they head into the 2025 season with a roster that looks like an all-star team.

MLB Network Announces No. 1 Ranked Game Of 2024 Season

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history after finishing with a record of 98-64 and winning the National League West for the third straight year.

After a great end to the 2024 season, the Dodgers went into the offseason and added some more key pieces including starting pitcher Blake Snell, starting pitcher Roki Sasaki, and relief pitcher Tanner Scott.

The Dodgers will attempt to defend their title in 2025 and win back-to-back World Series titles for the first time in franchise history.

MLB Network recognized game one of the World Series as their number-one ranked game of the 2024 MLB season.

According to MLB Network on ‘X,’ Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in game one of the World Series takes the honors as the best game of 2024.

"The #1 thing to do is hone in to trying to trick yourself into telling you it's the same game."@mikelowell25 reacts to Freddie Freeman's walk-off grand slam on an injured ankle being #1 on our "Top Games of 2024" countdown. pic.twitter.com/6lfUC0WvhC

— MLB Network (@MLBNetwork) January 26, 2025

If a walk-off grand slam wasn’t enough for a healthy player, Freeman was dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss a couple of playoff games.

Freeman overcame the injury and had one of the biggest moments of his career as he hit the walk-off grand slam to beat the New York Yankees in game one of the World Series.

After an incredible performance in the World Series, Freeman was awarded the World Series Most Valuable Player Award.

The Dodgers appear locked and loaded as they head into the 2025 season with arguably their best roster of all time as they try to defend their title.

Although the Dodgers have eight World Series titles in the team’s history, they have never won back-to-back championships, which they will try to change next season.

Roki Sasaki Gets Uniform Number That Honors His Idol

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 22: Pitcher Roki Sasaki poses during a Los Angeles Dodgers press conference at Dodger Stadium on January 22, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history and their second in the past five seasons.

While their roster is already filled with talent from their lineup to their pitching staff, they continued to add more star players this offseason.

The Dodgers added three top pitchers, including Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants, Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres, and Roki Sasaki from Japan.

Now, Sasaki will get to wear the uniform number of his idol, thanks to a new teammate.

“Miguel Rojas gave Roki Sasaki No. 11 and switched back to No. 72, the number he wore in his first stint with the Dodgers in 2014. Sasaki has repped No. 11 in the past like fellow countryman and [San Diego] Padres SP Yu Darvish, Sasaki’s idol growing up,” MLB wrote on X.

Sasaki arrives in MLB carrying a lot of hype about his electric arm and the potential to be a Cy Young Award candidate in the future.

The 23-year-old joins fellow Dodgers pitchers from Japan, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani.

In 2024, Sasaki appeared in 18 games and was 10-5 with a 2.35 ERA and 129 strikeouts in 111.0 innings pitched.

He has never thrown more than 130 innings in a single season, so the Dodgers may choose to use him sparingly as part of a six-man starting rotation.

It will be interesting to see how Sasaki adjusts to MLB and if he excels from the start or goes through a learning curve.

Insider Reveals 2 Reasons Dodgers Signed Tanner Scott

ST PETERSBURG, FLORIDA - SEPTEMBER 01: Tanner Scott #66 of the San Diego Padres looks to deliver a pitch to the Tampa Bay Rays in the eighth inning at Tropicana Field on September 01, 2024 in St Petersburg, Florida.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have dominated MLB in recent history with their last losing record back in 2010.

Since 2013, the Dodgers have made the postseason every year, won two World Series titles, and won the National League West 11 times.

The Dodgers continued to improve their roster this offseason as they acquired three notable pitchers: Blake Snell of the San Francisco Giants, Roki Sasaki from Japan, and Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres.

MLB insider Bob Nightengale recently revealed two reasons the Dodgers signed Scott as a free agent.

“The Dodgers loved the fact how Tanner Scott took the ball virtually every day for the Padres down the stretch, and the best part is they no longer have to face him,” Nightengale wrote on X.

He faced 12 Dodgers' hitters in the NL Division Series, and gave up just two hits with a 0.00 ERA.

— Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale) January 23, 2025

Scott debuted in 2017 with the Baltimore Orioles and has played for three teams over his eight-season MLB career.

In 2024 with the Padres and Miami Marlins, Scott appeared in 72 games and was 9-6 with a 1.75 ERA, 22 saves and 84 strikeouts in 72.0 innings pitched.

Nightengale points out the dominating performance Scott had for the Padres against the Dodgers in the 2024 National League Division Series.

Scott faced 12 batters and only allowed two hits.

The Dodgers now have one of the most dominant relievers in the game along with a starting rotation that arguably could be one of the best of all time.

With the new and improved pitching staff, the Dodgers will look to win back-to-back World Series titles for the first time in their history.

Analyst Reveals Why Roki Sasaki Chose To Sign With Dodgers

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - JANUARY 22: Pitcher Roki Sasaki poses during a Los Angeles Dodgers press conference at Dodger Stadium on January 22, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the New York Yankees to win their eighth World Series title in franchise history.

After winning the championship, the Dodgers came into the offseason and continued to further improve their roster by adding some key pitchers.

The Dodgers acquired starting pitcher Blake Snell from the San Francisco Giants, starting pitcher Roki Sasaki from Japan, and relief pitcher Tanner Scott from the San Diego Padres.

Sasaki reportedly was deciding between the Dodgers, Padres and Toronto Blue Jays.

MLB analyst Ken Rosenthal recently revealed the main reason he chose the Dodgers.

“What he said was, ‘The stability of the front office,'” Rosenthal said, via Foul Territory.
Roki Sasaki reportedly chose the @Dodgers because of the stability of their front office – @Ken_Rosenthal weighs in pic.twitter.com/3wuOJO2NdE

— Foul Territory (@FoulTerritoryTV) January 23, 2025

Sasaki was expected to go to the Dodgers initially, but it was thought that was due to fellow Japanese stars Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Shohei Ohtani being on the team.

The Dodgers also have been a winning organization for several years, which would likely lure a free agent to choose his first MLB team.

Rosenthal appears to think the statement about the front office is interesting, and many baseball fans likely are thinking the same thing.

Sasaki is reported to have an electric arm and has the opportunity to become one of the best pitchers in the game.

The Dodgers may choose to use Sasaki sparingly in his first MLB season as he has never thrown more than 130 innings in a season.
