Braves 2nd basemen, Dan Uggla, currently has a 32 game hitting streak.

Uggla's streak, started on July 5th, is the longest streak in the league so far this year.

Tommy Holmes holds the Braves record with a 37 game hitting streak as a member of the Boston Braves in 1945.

This is the longest streak in a few years. I think he will get up towards 40, but won't get higher than 40.

Wow, way to create this thread. Now his streak will end shortly. That's why I wasn't going to create a thread about this. Streaks always seem to end when we make a thread about it, we have seen this happen with hitting streaks, winning streaks, losing streaks, etc.

Hmmm....I dunno...he's pretty hot right now.

He is doing well right now. He was batting like .180 in the first few months of this season. There were rumors that he would be sent down to the minors or his contract would be bought out because he just wasn't doing so well. I have his autograph, and a few people in my family have met him (including my Dad).

I was right. Dan Uggla's hitting streak ended at 33. He had what looked like a base hit in the game, but he got robbed. Anyways, this is what happens when you create threads about streaks.

Yeah I think his average went up like 60 points. Did you guys see the play Darwin Barney made to rob him of the hit streak! It was a really nice play, and all the fans booed him.
