Dallas Maverick's owner Mark Cuban has stated that he would draft NCAAW Baylor basketball star Brittney Griner in the 2nd round of the NBA draft this off-season if there was no one else he thought had more potential. If the Mavs don't draft her, Cuban said he would have no problem inviting her to participate in try-outs for the Mavericks' summer league team.

Griner tweeted this after she heard Cuban's remarks: "I would hold my own! Let's do it."

Thoughts? I'm a huge fan of Mark Cuban, and this only boosts my admiration of him.

How do you guys think Griner would do in an NBA game?

I'm all for women trying out for sports and stuff, but I really don't think she could go anywhere in the NBA considering whom her opponents would be. Brittney Griner < 7' NBA Centers

I think this statement was a publicity stunt and I know Griner wouldn't be able to enter the NBA draft. However, could she go undrafted and play on the summer league for them?

I don't think this would be a good idea. First off she if she goes into the league and doesn't play well, then that would make it so that other women could not try playing in the NBA again. It's sort of a Jackie Robinson situation, but because Jackie played well, more African American players came into the league.
