Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts are parting ways after 14 seasons, according to a report.

ESPN, citing sources close to the team, said the announcement will be made at a press conference Wednesday. The Colts will release Manning, and pass on the US$28-million bonus. It also means he will become a free agent, and the sources tell ESPN’s Chris Mortensen that he does not plan to retire.

Thoughts???

Wow, that's huge. I guess they need to start fresh, but having Manning there for at least another season would have helped Andrew Luck out a ton (assuming they pick him).

Wow, that means they will be drafting Andrew Luck for sure now.

Jim Irsay is an idiot. This is a stupid move in my opinion....keep for at least one more year so he can help out Luck.

They should make someone pull a Mike Ditka and trade their whole draft for the pick. It would help rebuilding way more than one player could.

No surprise here. But dang this is huge!!! The NFL is dramatically changed now. I expect him to end up in either Miami or Arizona. Those are the 2 teams I would like to see him most.

In my opinion, this is adding on to the downfall of the great Colts dynasty. I don't think they'll be winning any Super Bowls for quite a while.

He will busy visiting Denver tomorrow... Denver!?

The Colts are releasing everyone, they just got rid of Curtis Painter and Joseph Addai.. Wow
