Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson dominated most of the race, until a speeding penalty put Edwards in the back. On the final restart, Kurt Busch was able to drive away from Johnson just enough to grab his second win of the year and put him back in the top 4 in points. Edwards recovered to third, Kahne 4th (highest non-Chaser) and Kenseth finished 5th.
