The Blackhawks take on Detroit today on national TV at 12:30 ET. Can they keep their streak of not losing in regulation going, or will Datsyuk, Zetterberg and crew be the ones to stop it? Chicago is currently 18-0-3 to start the NHL season!

19-0-3 now. It's an interesting streak to say the least. I think it will continue for the next little while. Their next 7 games are not very tough opponents.

It will end eventually, but I still think it's stupid that they don't count SO and OT losses as losses

Patrick Sharp is injured now, and Crawford has struggled to stay healthy this season. Whenever Hossa gets hit, everyone holds their breath. If it weren't for Emery's surprising play this year, Chicago would be in a totally different position.

Or these could be the ramblings of a lifelong Red Wings fan, lulz!

They are a good team despite the streak being ended, but history doesn't favor president trophy winners.

This is an excellent point.

Just look at the history of the Red Wings, Canucks, and Senators over the last 20-seasons or so.

They have had a couple loses now, but they're still the team to beat, in my opinion. Stanley Cup favorites, anyone? :)

history says no. Regular season means nothing come playoffs. Look at the 8th seed Kings from last year
