The Denver Broncos have released their starting RB Willis McGahee. McGahee, the team's starter for the past 2 seasons, was out with knee injury for the final two months of last season. In 25 games with Denver, McGahee ran for 1,930 yards and 8 touchdowns. Despite the injury, he still managed to have the team-high 731 rushing yards.
Looking to replace McGahee as starter will be 2-year pro Ronnie Hillman and rookie Montee Ball. The Broncos had said earlier this off-season that they really like Ball, and this just adds to their show of confidence in him.
What do you guys think of the release? McGahee is only 32, so I would expect him to end up somewhere eventually.
