Who usually plays basketball most, and who is best? Do you think basketball is only for boys?

I think anyone can be good at it but boys tend to play it more.
 
I think it's more of a boys sport for sure, but it has become more and more popular for girls. Although, boys are the better ones at basketball imo.
 
The WNBA is kind of a joke.....

Basketball is more of a guys sport, girls can play it too, but I don't think we'll ever see a woman become near as good as any top NBA player.
 
Basketball is a man-sport, naturally. Girls (in general) just aren't as physically inclined as guys are.
 
Sure, basketball can be played by both genders, but I don't really think it's a sport for females. At the end of the day, some women are better than men at basketball, but what defines a good female basketball player and a good male basketball player are completely different. Women's basketball is much more of a shooting sport because when any contact is made, a foul is called, no matter how minor. That's why women's basketball is all about shooting. Also as Ozzie said, The WNBA is a joke. On the other hand, men's basketball is much more physical. Being a good male basketball player isn't just about shooting. There's also much more of a fan base for men's basketball compared to women's basketball. The NBA is getting more popular every year, while the WNBA is still unheard of by many across the country. So, men play it more and if women played in games as physical as the men do, the men would definitely be better. If men played it the way women's basketball is played, the women would be better, as they seem to be much more focused on shooting.

Players in the NBA can shoot. It's the level of defense that defines how great a player is at shooting though. For example, Ray Allen, Dirk, Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, etc etc, are all better at shooting than any womans basketball player. And I'm pretty sure if you put any NBA player in the WNBA, they would be putting up historic stats.

For example, the European and Asian leagues are played similar to the WNBA style, but better. I believe J.R Smith was averaging 35 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists or something like that in China

J.R Smith doesn't do that in the NBA.
 
I didn't even think J.R. Smith was a starter in the NBA? Also, how many shot attempts was he averaging per game? Anyone can put up those kind of numbers if they are made the star that is the one shooting the ball nearly every time they go down the court.

I'm not just referring to the NBA and WNBA when I say that. Women seem to be better shooters at the high school level here as well. I don't know why it's like that, it may not be, but it seems like it. Perhaps women practice shooting more because they don't have to practice how to draw fouls, etc.
 
Basketball is Boy and Girl both gender sport. I my school we have a basketball team of boy and girl both.

Its not just for boys but female basketball looks different and trust me its not anything but soft. I am a professional basketball player for SCM U Craiova and we had a boys v girls match played Center and I got hit so hard so many times even worst then my games for the juniors XD

I definitely don't think basketball is only for boys. I have a best friend who's a girl and loves playing basketball. We play a lot together (usually on the same team). I like it when girls play basketball lol. :P
