Anyone shocked by a few of the teams that have started out the way they have? Here's some of my biggest surprises of the 2016 season thus far:
Boston Red Sox: A team that is expected to win but that starting pitching was a huge question mark. Porcello has had a few good starts and I think the addition of David Price (even though he got rocked the other day),really set a good vibe in that clubhouse when it seemed to be really down the past few years. Everywhere Price goes hes a clubhouse leader and changes the culture.
Detroit Tigers bullpen: The terror of any Tiger fan over the past few years, handing off the ball to the bullpen. This year though, they seem incredibly solid. The addition of Justin Wilson and Francisco Rodriguez have really painted a picture of back-inning stability they haven't seen, frankly, in over a decade.
White Sox: Who saw this coming? The big off-season move for the White Sox outside Todd Frazier was the fact Adam Laroche's kid couldn't be in the clubhouse anymore. That team had so much turmoil in the off-season I don't know anyone saw this coming (all Chicago World Series?)
Cubs: Okay, I think we all knew the Cub's would be good but when Schwarber went down I thought "uh oh". Instead, they seem to just keep on winning. This team is legit the scariest team in baseball right now. That lineup is just insane.
Anyone else have anything they didn't see coming so far this year?
