    Really sad news. Made even more sad since the marathon was dedicated to the Sandy Hook victims and families. Terrible. EDIT: An hour later, a third blast went off near the JFK library in Boston, but no injuries were reported.

    This basically ruins LA's chances of advancing very far into the playoffs, in my opinion. They don't really have any other major scorers or assisters. Kobe is definitely the team's core. Hardly getting into the playoffs WITH him, I don't see how they can do well enough to advance very far.

    The Royals beat the Twins, 7-4, yesterday. The Royals scored 5 runs in the first inning, and Mike Pelfrey only pitched 2 innings for the Twins.
