Mosquitoes. The anopheles mosquito is responsible for the transmission of malaria. Approximately 40 species of the anopheles carry the disease from human to mosquito to human.

Gosh! How the anopheles mosquito spreads malaria to so many people in the street. Forty species of these insects are dangerous to our health and can turn the life of any person here upside down.
Third world affected disproportionately.

Thank you for asking and explaining this. I know about the disease, but I've never looked into which animals transmit it. Thank you.

I hear that malaria is yet to be eliminated because it largely affects people in the global south. The West,, who own the technology required to eradicate malaria, aren't interested in conducting deep research on this disease.

The truth is that it is only female Anopheles mosquitoes that can spread malaria from one person to another. For the Anopheles mosquito to become infective, they must bite, or take a blood meal.

Yea. That's why scientists are breeding sterile female anopheles mosquitoes, and releasing the same into the wild.
Happened recently in Brazil.

Wow, I'm from South America and I had no idea about this. What's the purpose of doing this in Brazil?
