RSS Eagles Team Notes

Man, reading all this Eagles news is giving me mixed feelings. On one hand, that 30 for 30 about the Philly Special sounds amazing - I'll definitely have to check that out on Disney+. The Brandon Graham strip-sack question is interesting though. I'd argue the strip-sack was actually MORE important than the Philly Special. The Philly Special was iconic and gave us the lead, but that strip-sack sealed the deal. Without it, Brady probably marches down and wins that game. Both legendary plays, but one was flashy and one was clutch.

As for the "window closing" discussion... I think the article makes some valid points but might be a bit doom and gloom. Yeah, losing Stoutland hurts - that guy built one of the best O-line cultures in the league. And the coaching staff turnover is concerning. But 50 wins in four years and a Super Bowl? That's incredible. Every dynasty eventually has to retool.

What worries me more is the A.J. Brown situation. That "somewhat tenuous" relationship language doesn't inspire confidence. If he actually wants out, that's a massive blow to this offense regardless of who's calling plays.

The mock draft looks solid to me. Cisse at corner makes sense - Mitchell needs a legit partner out there. And getting Kaytron Allen in the fourth would be great value if Saquon's workload needs managing going forward.

Curious what others think about the Mannion hire. Is he the guy to fix this offense or just another coordinator who'll be gone in two years?

Micah Parsons says he was almost traded to the Eagles in exchange for Jalen Carter

The Dallas Cowboys ended up trading star pass rush Micah Parsons to the Green BAy Packers just days before the start of the 2025 regular season, but it seems that reports that linked him to the Eagles were legitimate. During the lead up to Super Bowl LX, Parsons hosted an interview with A.J. Brown for Bleacher Report, and talked about how close he actually got to returning to his home state.

Parsons said one of the reasons he didn’t end up in Philly is because the draw for his would be to play alongside Jalen Carter, but the defensive tackle is who the Cowboys wanted in return for Parsons, plus some picks. Carter leaving the Eagles made it a no-go for Parsons, and he ultimately ended up in Green Bay.

Micah Parsons spoke with AJ Brown recently on the B/R Gridiron podcast.

He stated the Eagles almost traded Jalen Carter and picks for him to the Cowboys. pic.twitter.com/qKTtvrp6VP

— Cooper DeJAWN 🦅 (@CooperDeJawn3) February 7, 2026

Obviously, Parsons had some level of input into where he went via trade, but there’s little reason to believe Howie Roseman would’ve moved forward with a deal that sent Carter to their NFC East rival. Still, now we know that the talks between the two teams were pretty serious, even if the Eagles ultimately didn’t get a deal done.

In just a few hours, the Eagles will no longer be the reigning Super Bowl Champions and either the Seattle Seahawks or New England Patriots will be able to claim the title. The game also marks the official end of the 2025 NFL season, and the start of free agency, draft season, and more coaching staff changes.

The Seahawks lead the all-time regular season series between these teams, 11-8, and have won their last four meetings. They last faced off back in 2024, when Seattle won in overtime, on the road, 23-20. The Patriots, however, do hold a 1-0 lead over the Seahawks when they’ve faced off in the postseason — back in 2014 when Tom Brady led the team to victory in Super Bowl XLIX, 28-24.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game:

Bleeding Green Nation’s Super Bowl LX picks are in!

BGN staff members are here to predict the winners of every game on the schedule. We’ll tally the results along the way and see who comes out on top at the end of the season. Feel free to post your own predictions or discuss the writer predictions in the comments.

You, the reader, can also join in on the fun by voting for who you think will win the games (scroll down for polls). I’ll tally those results in a “BGN Community” section under our picks table generated by Tallysight.

With only one game left to go, the BGN Community has already clinched the top overall record for the second year in a row. Congrats on the repeat! (Someone had to after the Philadelphia Eagles themselves couldn’t.) Jonny Page and Dave Mangels are both making the same Super Bowl pick, which means they’ve clinched tying for the top record in the playoff only standings.

The BGN staff is unanimously taking the Seattle Seahawks to beat the New England Patriots in the big game. The Seahawks are 4.5-point favorites (per FanDuel Sportsbook) and I think they’ll fail to cover but they will win a close one.

Eagles reportedly hire their Jeff Stoutland replacement

PHILADELPHIA, PA - September 19: Minnesota Vikings offensive line coach Chris Kuper on the sideline against the Philadelphia Eagles during a game at Lincoln Financial Field on September 19, 2022 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Perry Knotts/Getty Images) | Getty Images

The Philadelphia Eagles reluctantly said goodbye to Jeff Stoutland last week after he spent 13 years as the team’s offensive line coach. Now they’re moving on and hiring Chris Kuper to fill the role.

The Eagles are hiring Chris Kuper as their offensive line coach, sources tell The Insiders.

Kuper spent the past four seasons in the same role in Minnesota, where he crossed paths with new Eagles OC Sean Mannion. Now, they’re teaming up in Philly. pic.twitter.com/N6Ap2NRwCN

— Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) February 9, 2026

Kuper played offensive guard for the Broncos from 2006 to 2013 and most recently spent four years as the Minnesota Vikings’ offensive line coach. He also had a brief stint with the Broncos as an assistant OL coach under Vic Fangio from 2019-2021.

Here’s how the Vikings’ offensive lines ranked over the past four seasons by Pro Football Focus:

2025 — 18th
2024 — 18th
2023 — 12th
2022 — 13th

Kuper is just the latest addition to Sean Mannion’s staff, with the new OC bringing in familiar faces like run-game coordinator/TE coach Ryan Mahaffey.

The new OL coach will have big shoes to fill, but the offensive scheme is primed to look different this season and a change might be good up front. There’s still some uncertainty about how many starters will return, with Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson both reportedly considering retirement. Johnson hasn’t confirmed he’ll be back in 2026, but did say during Super Bowl week that he will be open-minded to the coaching changes.

With or without Johnson, Kuper will have an opportunity to bring one of the best offensive lines in the league, back from a down season in 2025.

List of 2026 Eagles free agents

imagn-27610291.jpg

After the unceremonious end to the 2025 NFL season for the Philadelphia Eagles, general manager Howie Roseman now has some tough roster decisions to make.

Despite their long list of shortcomings, the Eagles still have one of the highest paid offenses, which will make the decisions Roseman makes on defense even more challenging. They still have several players on rookie deals, but there are some key members of the team set to be free agents.

Of those set to hit the market, some of the more notable names on defense, include LB Nakobe Dean, EDGE Jaelan Phillips, and S Reed Blankenship. There’s also Brandon Graham who came out of retirement mid-season to help the Eagles down the stretch, but he’ll either go back to retired, or see if the team would offer him another one-year deal — which they probably would because he was still playing at an elite level and is big leader in the locker room.

On offense, Roseman might consider bringing OT Fred Johnson back to keep depth behind Lane Johnson, and as someone they could develop to be his ultimate replacement. The other lineman the team could re-sign is Brett Toth, who was able to fill in at multiple positions up front, including center. There could be a lot of roster changes within the OL room as the Eagles turn to a new scheme under OC Sean Mannion and new OL coach Chris Kuper.

As for the tight end group, three are set to hit free agency, and after setting a new franchise record for touchdowns by a TE, Dallas Goedert will be the biggest miss if they let him walk. Jalen Hurts was a big factor in bringing Goedert back to Philly, and you’d think the QB would want him back again in 2026. Otherwise, it’s a good draft for the Eagles to pickup some young talent to develop behind Goedert.

Finally, punter Braden Mann had a solid year, and consistently helped put the team in good position with deep kicks down field. There’s little reason to think the Eagles wouldn’t bring him back.

Here’s the full list of 2026 Eagles free agents:

  • DL Brandon Graham
  • Edge Jaelan Phillips
  • Edge Azeez Ojulari
  • Edge Joshua Uche
  • Edge Ogbo Okoronkwo
  • LB Nakobe Dean
  • OT Fred Johnson
  • OL Brett Toth
  • OL Matt Pryor
  • P Braden Mann
  • QB Sam Howell
  • RB AJ Dillon
  • S Reed Blankenship
  • TE Dallas Goedert
  • TE Grant Calcaterra
  • TE Kylen Granson
  • WR Jahan Dotson

Brandon Graham expresses interest in coming back to the Eagles

Speaking from Radio Row ahead of Super Bowl LX, Brandon Graham reconnected with former teammates Chris Long and Beau Allen on his ‘Brandon Graham Unblocked’ podcast, and gave an update on his retirement status.

“If Howie [Roseman] makes that call, I’m coming back, one more.”

Graham talked about coming in halfway through last season and having to learn some new techniques when he moved inside. Still, he had fresh legs after resting most of the year, and was able to have a huge impact. He noted that it was a great group of guys on defense that weren’t selfish for a stat line and all worked together, which resulted in BG’s impressive sack numbers in just a few games.

The veteran also talked a bit about how the Eagles will have to pay Jalen Carter big money soon and how that will affect some upcoming roster decisions. He quipped that Jaelan Phillips, Reed Blankenship, and one other contract would combine to total what the organization will need to pay Carter.

If the only thing BG needs to come back is an invite from Howie, the Eagles GM should absolutely make the call. He’s earned the opportunity to come back, was still playing at an elite level, and is probably a much cheaper option when considering the salary cap.

Do you want Brandon Graham back for one more season? Or should the team allocate that salary elsewhere? Let’s talk about it in the comments!

Several Eagles offensive coaches will return in 2026

FOXBOROUGH, MA - AUGUST 13: Philadelphia Eagles running backs / assistant head coach Jemal Singleton tries to knock the ball from running back Saquon Barkley (26) during joint training camp between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles on August 13, 2024, at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. The Philadelphia Eagles’ coaching staff has been in flux since the 2025 season ended. Despite new offensive coordinator Sean Mannion filling several roles with guys familiar with the scheme he wants to run — Josh Grizzard as pass game coordinator, Ryan Mahaffey as run game coordinator/tight ends coach, and Chris Kuper as offensive line coach — it seems like Nick Sirianni will be keeping a few of his own guys. Jeff McLane reported on Tuesday that both running backs coach Jemal Singleton and wide receivers coach Aaron Moorehead will both be back in their same roles in 2026.

McLane also added:

“Several other assistants on that side of the ball will return, as well, although their future roles are to be determined. Pass game coordinator Parks Frazier, assistant offensive line coach Greg Austin, and offensive quality control coaches Eric Dickerson and Montgomery VaGorder will also be back, sources said.“

He went on to explain that the Eagles haven’t made a final decision yet on their next quarterbacks coach, and for now, Scot Loeffler remains on staff from 2025. Similarly, Kevin Patullo’s future in Philly is unclear, and despite losing the offensive coordinator title, he’s still currently employed by the Eagles.

There was some speculation about former TE coach Jason Michael and whether he was still with the team after they brought in Mahaffey, but McLane confirms that Michael is no longer on the Eagles staff.

These clarifications show that the team was committed to making big offensive changes, but still have confidence in their skill position coaches — coaches that probably had the support of important players like Saquon Barkley, DeVonta Smith, and A.J. Brown. It’s interesting that Loeffler and Patullo still might stick around, but as long as it’s in a supporting role, there’s probably no harm.

Kevin Patullo is leaving the Eagles

gettyimages-2255107451.jpg

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - JANUARY 4: Offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo of the Philadelphia Eagles looks on prior to the game against the Washington Commanders at Lincoln Financial Field on January 4, 2026 in Philadelphia, United States. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Kevin Patullo will not be returning to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2026.

The Birds’ former offensive coordinator is reportedly joining the Miami Dolphins as their new pass game coordinator.

Patullo spoke to multiple teams about assistant roles. He’s been a trusted assistant for Nick Sirianni who has helped him with some of his head-coaching responsibilities during the week and on gameday the last five years. Will do the same for new #Dolphins HC Jeff Hafley. https://t.co/EiX5eO50w0

— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) February 11, 2026

Nick Sirianni originally announced that he was making an OC change back on January 13, two days after the Eagles’ playoff loss to the San Francisco 49ers. At the time, it was reported that Patullo might stay on staff in a different role.

But while Patullo was not technically fired, he effectively was. It never seemed like a great idea to bring him back in a lesser role, for either his sake or the Eagles’ sake. That would’ve been an awkward dynamic.

The Eagles hired former Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion to be their new play-calling offensive coordinator. The team also hired former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard to be their new pass game coordinator, which is the role Patullo held in Philly before being promoted to OC after the 2024 season.

Sirianni is obviously very tight with Patullo, so, this is a big loss for the Eagles’ head coach. But his buddy ultimately landed a new job not too far away from where he attended high school and college in Florida.

The Eagles do not play the Dolphins in 2026. In the regular season, at least.

NFL insider talks A.J. Brown trade rumors and possibility of the Eagles drafting a quarterback

gettyimages-2252293850.jpg

PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - DECEMBER 14: Jalen Hurts #1 and A.J. Brown #11 of the Philadelphia Eagles look on against the Las Vegas Raiders at Lincoln Financial Field on December 14, 2025 in Philadelphia, United States. (Photo by Mitchell Leff/Getty Images) | Getty Images

Some seem to believe that A.J. Brown’s recent public comments indicate he’ll definitely be back with the Philadelphia Eagles next season. Case closed.

The sense here is that sentiment is more wishful thinking than reality.

Recent reporting claims Brown’s “relationship with the team remains somewhat tenuous.” One NFL insider said he expects Brown trade talks to pick up at the NFL Combine, which is typically a precursor to NFL free agency activity.

The latest on Brown comes from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, who had the following to say on Thursday morning’s edition of Get Up:

“Well, some people I’ve talked to around the league, some executives of other teams, do expect that the Eagles will at least entertain a trade for A.J. Brown, who was unhappy on numerous fronts. I mean, name the counts where he looked like he was miserable out there, body language wasn’t good. So, something has to give. That’s sort of the feeling right now. They could build around DeVonta Smith and some other pieces, Saquon [Barkley], maybe add a wide receiver. So, he would create a haul for the Eagles if they do go that route. Nothing has happened as of yet. But there are a lot of changes coming with the Eagles. We’ve seen them revamp basically their entire offensive staff. Do they pay Jalen Carter?

One question around the league is do they draft a quarterback, maybe in Day 2? Apply a little bit of pressure on Jalen Hurts, who I believe is at a crossroad right now after the way last season went. And Jalen Hurts was drafted in the second round, eventually replaced Carson Wentz, who got a massive deal just that offseason before. Does that same thing now happen to Jalen Hurts eventually?“

A few topics to unpack here: Brown, Carter, and drafting a quarterback.

THOUGHTS ON A.J. BROWN

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard an NFL insider claiming that other teams expect the Eagles to entertain Brown trade offers. We previously heard a lot of that chatter prior to last season’s trade deadline. Obviously, a deal didn’t materialize. But trading him now is more realistic than it was back then. Yes, even with the seemingly prohibitive financial implications that actually aren’t totally disqualifying.

The prospect of the Eagles trading Brown is not ideal or fun to think about. Well, for most people. There seem to be some who are understandably frustrated with Brown and want him gone. That is NOT my position. However, just because I don’t think the Eagles should move Brown means I’m going to ignore that it seems likely to happen. To a much larger point, there’s too much of “I don’t want this to be true, so, therefore it isn’t!” going on in today’s world. As it specifically relates to Brown, there’s too much evidence that suggests he doesn’t want to be here. And, no, I don’t think the Eagles hiring Sean Mannion suddenly changes his mind. Brown has expressed discontent with Eagles offensive issues dating back to the 2024 season. Bleeding Green Nation reported that he asked for a trade multiple times last year and as early as after Week 3. Brown clearly sounded defeated, saying his situation was a “shitshow” and he was “struggling” mentally. He literally told people to drop him from their fantasy teams. How often have you heard an athlete say that? Has it ever happened before? Further, Brown’s frustration showed on the field with a lack of emotional investment and effort. I just don’t think he wants to be here. I wish I didn’t feel that way. But it’s just the likelihood that’s in front of us.

THOUGHTS ON JALEN CARTER

Just a quick line thrown in by Fowler: “Do they pay Jalen Carter?“

I’m guessing no. At least, not this offseason. Of course, I’m not as privy to Carter’s medical situation as the team is. If they’re not worried at all about his long-term health, well, an extension is more likely.

I’m still bullish on Carter’s upside. But there’s no denying 2025 was a disappointing season for him. Carter posted a career low in sacks, TFLs, and quarterback hits as he played just 11 games. Despite this, he still earned Pro Bowl honors. And there’s no doubt he’s very good when he’s playing at his best. We just didn’t see that version of him enough last year. His massive 2024 workload clearly took a toll on him that carried over into 2025.

Maybe Carter will be healthy and more effective in 2026. If the Eagles feel confident that’s going to be the case, they could look to pay him now. I don’t think they’re going to get much of a discount but it will be cheaper than paying him later if he has an All-Pro kind of year next season.

Part of what makes the Carter contract projection unclear is how the Eagles will handle their other young defensive tackles. Jordan Davis is going to be a free agent after 2026, so, one would think he’s the priority in terms of getting a deal done. Moro Ojomo will also be a free agent after 2026. Are the Eagles comfortable with letting him walk like they were with Milton Williams?

Carter is extension eligible but he will be under contract through 2027 after the Eagles pick up his fifth-year option this offseason, which is very likely.

THOUGHTS ON DRAFTING A QUARTERBACK

So, it obviously depends on who’s available where they’re picking, but I can totally buy the Eagles picking a quarterback in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Let’s set Jalen Hurts aside for a moment and focus on what the Eagles have behind him. It’s really just Tanner McKee, who is set to be a free agent after the 2026 season. Sam Howell is set to be a free agent in March.

It’s not perfectly clear what McKee could fetch if the Eagles trade him. But this is probably their last offseason to move him and get value in return. One would guess that McKee will look to sign elsewhere once his rookie contract is up. He might be able to join a team where he has a better path to playing time.

The Eagles could decide to keep McKee if there’s a really weak market for him. If not, they might look to sign an experienced veteran to have behind Hurts. But that route likely won’t be cheap; backup QBs cost real money in today’s NFL. Zach Wilson cost $6 million for one year in 2025. Ditto for Jarrett Stidham. Mason Rudolph was just under $4 million. These aren’t even some of the better backups in the league, like Marcus Mariota, who cost $8 million.

After Super Bowl LII, no NFL team can better attest to the importance of a quality backup quarterback quite like the Eagles can. It could be surprising, then, to see them go into a season with a rookie backing up Hurts. But having a quarterback on a rookie deal would be financially beneficial.

And in the event that the Eagles do want to pivot away from Hurts (not saying that’s the likely case here, just that it’s possible), well, the new young quarterback could be an option for them. Just like Hurts once was when the Eagles moved on from Wentz.

NFL Mock Draft 2026: Projecting the first-round picks

gettyimages-2241117292.jpg

Now that Super Bowl LX is over, the 2026 NFL Draft order is officially set and all 32 teams are in offseason mode. Let’s take a look at how the first 32 picks of the 2026 NFL Draft could potentially play out.

2026 First Round Mock Draft

1) Las Vegas Raiders: Fernando Mendoza, Quarterback, Indiana: Fernando Mendoza is the only first round worthy quarterback in this draft, and for that honor he will go first overall. He is far from a blue chip prospect, but the Raiders want a fresh start with a new coach and new signal caller.

2) New York Jets: Reuben Bain, Edge, Miami: While people go between Bain, Bailey, and Reese as the top edge rushing prospects, the Miami defender still stands out as the most polished, pro-ready of the three. The Jets get an instant impact defender here.

3) Arizona Cardinals: Jeremiyah Love, Running Back, Notre Dame: The Cards need a lot of help on both sides of the ball and Jeremiyah Love is the most explosive player in the draft. He will give Mike LaFleur’s offense an instant shot in the arm.

4) Tennessee Titans: David Bailey, Edge, Texas Tech: Robert Saleh gets a dynamic edge rusher to juice a young, talent-hungry defense.

5) New York Giants: Caleb Downs, Safety, Ohio State: Caleb Downs is the best player in this draft. The NFL will struggle over how to value an elite safety prospect and some lucky team will capitalize. Feels like a Harbaugh move to make the obvious choice.

6) Cleveland Browns: Arvell Reese, Edge/Linebacker, Ohio State: The Browns probably won’t have a good offense next year no matter what, so might as well double down on a face melting defense. Arvell Reese playing across from Myles Garrett is a scary thought.

7) Washington Commanders: Mansoor Delane, Cornerback, LSU: The Commanders took a big step back this year due to their roster being mostly old guys. Now Dan Quinn can get some young defenders to hold down to the perimeters of the secondary.

8) New Orleans Saints: Jordan Tyson, Wide Receiver, ASU: The Tyler Shough project has been encouraging and now the Saints can get him a dynamic pass catcher to pair with Chris Olave.

9) Kansas City Chiefs: Makai Lemon, Wide Receiver, USC: The Chiefs need a true top receiver, something they’ve lacked since Tyreek Hill left. Makai Lemon might not be an elite athlete, but he is the “B+ at Everything” type of receiver that will thrive with Patrick Mahomes.

10) Cincinnati Bengals: Peter Woods, Defensive Line, Clemson: The Bengals need to upgrade their woeful defense. Peter Woods is a world destroying presence at defensive tackle.

11) Miami Dolphins: Carnell Tate. Wide Receiver, Ohio State: It’s possible that Tyreek Hill is out in Miami, leaving them with a gaping hole next to Jaylen Waddle. Carmell Tate will be a reliable pass catching machine from day one.

12) Dallas Cowboys: Cashius Howell, Edge, Texas A&M: The Cowboys need to fill the huge hole left by the Micah Parsons trade. I expect them to go heavy on defense early and often this draft.

13) Los Angeles Rams (from ATL): Francis Mauigoa, Tackle, Miami: Anything less than a Super Bowl berth next season is probably a failure for the Rams. Here they get a day one ready tackle.

14) Baltimore Ravens: Caleb Banks, Defensive Line, Florida: The Ravens defense took a massive step back last year. Jesse Minter will look for impact players early in this class.

15) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jerod McCoy, Cornerback, Tennessee: A bit of a gamble given his injury history, but Jerod McCoy would be a stud in Tampa Bay.

16) New York Jets (from IND): Denzel Boston, Wide Receiver, Washington: While its unclear who will be throwing the football for New York in 2026, they need more options besides Garrett Wilson. Denzel Boston is a big, physical player who would complement Wilson perfectly.

17) Detroit Lions: Spencer Fano, Tackle, Utah: The Lions have been successful in years past because of their offensive line. This year, the unit took a step back with age and injuries. Spencer Fano would be a great bookend to pair with Penei Sewell and get the Lions back to mashing.

18) Minnesota Vikings: Avieon Terrell, Cornerback, Clemson: The Vikings will probably be looking for answers on offense this offseason, but they also need some youth at defensive back. The younger Terrell brother would give Brian Flores another talented defender to play with.

19) Carolina Panthers: Sonny Styles, Linebacker, Ohio State: The Panthers could go in a lot of directions here, but Sonny Styles has fallen far enough in this draft. The dude will be a beast in Carolina.

20) Dallas Cowboys (from GB): TJ Parker, Edge, Clemson: Last year, the Falcons used two first round picks on edge defenders. This year, that’ll be the Cowboys. TJ Parker and Cashius Howell would immediately give Dallas a talented pass rushing duo.

21) Pittsburgh Steelers: Kadyn Proctor, Tackle, Alabama: Mike McCarthy is known for making boring, obvious choices. Kadyn Proctor is going to be a very good tackle if he lands with the right coaching staff.

22) Los Angeles Chargers: Olaivavega Ioane, Guard, Penn State: The Chargers have been snakebitten when it comes to offensive line health. They are never going to get the best out of Justin Herbert until they can protect him. Olaivavega Ioane would give them a steady presence inside.

23) Philadelphia Eagles: Caleb Lomu, Tackle, Utah: The Eagles’ offensive line is entering a period of uncertainty it hasn’t known since after the 2012 season. That year, injuries to Jason Peters spiraled the entire offense out of control and the Eagles lost 12 games. Then they hired Jeff Stoutland and drafted Lane Johnson before enjoying over a decade of elite offensive line play. Now, Soutland has left the building while rumors swirl about Lane Johnson and Landon Dickerson’s NFL futures. There is no doubt the Eagles front office needs to right the ship. Caleb Lomu is a young, talented tackle who has started 24 games in the last two seasons at left tackle. He is big, athletic, and a great pass protector. He has room to grow and will need to adjust to playing right tackle, most likely, but he is a great fit to fill Lane Johnson’s big shoes.

24) Cleveland Browns (from JAX): KC Conception, Wide Receiver, Texas A&M: The Browns desperately need some electricity on offense that KC Conception can deliver.

25) Chicago Bears: CJ Allen, Linebacker, Georgia: The Bears were a pleasant surprise in 2025 as one of the most exciting teams in the league. They can keep beefing up their opportunistic defense in 2026 with a solid, athletic linebacker.

26) Buffalo Bills: Keldric Faulk, Edge, Auburn: Feels like almost a certainty that the Bills will trade up for a wide receiver in this draft. Here, they miss on all the top guys and instead address their aging defense.

27) San Francisco 49ers: Dillon Thieneman, Safety, Oregon: Here the Niners add a ballhawking safety to their defense.

28) Houston Texans: Kayden McDonald, Defensive Line, Ohio State: The Texans strength is their defensive line and they can make that unit even more deadly with a space eating defensive tackle.

29) Los Angeles Rams: Brandon Cisse, Cornerback, South Carolina: Chris Shula’s unit gets a long, athletic perimeter defender.

30) Denver Broncos: Kenyon Sadiq, Tight End, Oregon: The Broncos success on offense happened without really any big play threat. Kenyon Sadiq has the unique ability to stretch the field as a tight end. He will be a weapon for Sean Payton.

31) New England Patriots: Monroe Freeling, Tackle, Georgia: After taking a beating in the Super Bowl, it would not surprise me if the Patriots tried getting another first round offensive lineman to protect Drake Maye with.

32) Seattle Seahawks: Keith Abney II, Cornerback, ASU: The Seahawks are set to lose some of their starting cornerbacks in free agency. Here they can offset those losses with a cornerback who didn’t allow a touchdown in 2025

LOL oh man where do I even start with this dumpster fire of an offseason you guys are having down there in Philly?

First off, Brandon Graham coming back? Sure why not, the guy's a legend and clearly still has some gas in the tank. Howie would be an absolute idiot not to make that call. You don't find pass rushers who can still produce like that just floating around, especially for what he'd probably cost. No brainer.

But let's talk about the REAL mess here - this A.J. Brown situation is hilarious to watch from the outside. The dude literally told fantasy owners to drop him mid-season! I've never seen that before in my life! When a guy is calling his own situation a "shitshow" and looks like he'd rather be anywhere else on the planet, yeah, he's probably getting traded. All you Eagles fans doing mental gymnastics trying to convince yourselves he's staying are in for a rude awakening.

And drafting a QB to put pressure on Hurts? Now THAT'S spicy. History repeating itself with the whole Wentz situation would be absolutely poetic. Not saying Hurts is done but man, when national guys are openly talking about it, there's usually some smoke there.

That mock draft having you guys take an offensive tackle at 23 is probably the smartest thing I've read today though. Your O-line is about to crumble and Stoutland bouncing makes it even worse. Caleb Lomu seems like a solid pick.

Meanwhile we're just chilling up here in Buffalo trying to figure out how to get Josh Allen another weapon. Must be nice having actual problems to complain about instead of just being perpetually mediocre like half the league! 🦬

Eagles News: How would you grade Philadelphia’s 2025 draft class to this point?

Eagles Question of the Day:

Would you change who the Eagles picked in the first two rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft? If so, who did you realistically want at the time instead? Head over to The Feed and weigh in with your answer and explanation!

Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …

NFL rookie report cards: Grading and ranking every team’s 2025 draft class – NFL.com
Grade: B. The Eagles made just two top-100 picks, but both provided immediate returns. The only real complaint I have about Jihaad Campbell and Andrew Mukuba is that I wasn’t able to see even more of them in Year 1. Campbell’s playing time was contingent on veteran LB Nakobe Dean’s health, but the rookie proved to be a more-than-capable replacement in his 10 starts, stacking up tackles and making some key plays on the ball. With Dean ticketed for free agency next month, Campbell could be poised for a full emergence to stardom in Year 2. Mukuba was one of the most fun defensive prospects in this draft class, with a ferocious play style that belies his 186-pound frame, and he served as a capable starter for the first three months of the season. Unfortunately, a fractured ankle prematurely ended his debut campaign. Going forward, Mukuba’s edgy play fits nicely alongside 2024 rookie sensations Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, giving the Eagles an enviable collection of young talent in the secondary.

16) Philadelphia Eagles. Grade: B-. Year 1 hits: LB Jihaad Campbell, S Andrew Mukuba. Campbell made some turnover-worthy plays, but the down-to-down consistency is not there yet. Philadelphia did not need him immediately with Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean playing a large percentage of the team’s linebacker snaps. Mukuba is the only other rookie who played extensively for the franchise. Although, it is fair to assume defensive tackle Ty Robinson’s role will expand in the future.

Lane Johnson will return in 2026, according to LeSean McCoy and Adam Schefter – BGN
One of the biggest 2026 offseason questions for the Philadelphia Eagles: Will Lane Johnson retire? If former Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and NFL insider Adam Schefter are to be believed, Philly’s All-Pro starting right tackle will indeed be back next season.

Jason Kelce knows the Eagles are trying to ‘move forward’ but wishes Jeff Stoutland ‘could’ve been a part of that’ – Inquirer
“It just sucks to see him go, selfishly. As an Eagles fan and somebody that played for him, and somebody that still goes to the facility — I still go to NovaCare on a regular basis — and I’m not going to be able to see Stout anymore,“ Kelce said. ”And that’s just frustrating for me, and I think frustrating for a lot of people in that building because he was a personality that a lot of people gravitated toward. And this is the reality of the business.” […] “I get that the team is trying to move forward and really embrace this new system and really redesign what this offense is. I wish Stout could’ve been a part of that, but sometimes it doesn’t work out that way,” Jason added. “Anyways, love you, coach. Couldn’t be more happy to have been coached by you.

10 Things you Didn’t Know about new Eagles offensive line coach Chris Kuper – NBCSP
Kuper has two connections to the Eagles’ rapidly growing new offensive staff. He was Vikings offensive line coach in 2023, when new Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion was in his final year as an NFL quarterback. And he overlapped with new Eagles passing game coordinator Josh Grizzard for two years with the Dolphins. In 2017 and 2018, Grizzard was an offensive quality control coach under Andrew Gase and Kuper was assistant offensive line coach. Kuper spent 2019 through 2021 as Broncos assistant offensive line coach under head coach Vic Fangio, now the Eagles’ defensive coordinator. The Broncos’ offensive coordinator in 2019 was future Eagles assistant coach Rich Scangarello, and their offensive line coach all three years Kuper was in Denver was Hall of Famer Mike Munchak.

Could a major NFL rule change be in the works? Here’s what it would take. – NJ.com
During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said a source told him there would be a push very soon to increase the number of first-round selections a team can trade in the future from three to five years. The proposal has not yet been formally submitted, but the NFL typically releases the proposals made by teams and the league’s competition committee days before the spring annual league meeting, which will start March 31 in Phoenix.

Miami Dolphins hire former Eagles’ OC Kevin Patullo as Pass-Game Coordinator – The Phinsider
Patullo grew up in South Florida and will now be the Dolphins’ pass-game coordinator under new offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik. Miami hopes he can bring over some of the magic we saw with the Eagles prior to the 2025 season. For Patullo, my guess is that he hopes fans in Miami aren’t as crazy as those in Philadelphia, and his new home won’t have to worry about being egged after losing a late November game to a conference rival.

From Stoutland University to Adam’s Academy, Cowboys to benefit from a seismic shift in the trenches – Blogging The Boys
Adams’ teachings emphasize violence in the trenches. His run schemes maximize leverage and put his guys in favorable spots on the field. His run designs are creative, offering multiple schemes and the flexibility to go from gap to zone-based, depending on what works best for any given week. It’s all about the details, and he gets the most from his players. Whether it’s with the Cowboys, the Arizona Cardinals, or the Indianapolis Colts before that, he is notorious for keeping the pressure off his quarterback. The departure of Stoutland from Philadelphia marks the end of an era, but it also signals a clear passing of the torch to Klayton Adams in Dallas. With a young, rising-talent unit, the coaching staff has already proven they are on the up and up. The Cowboys now boast a strong offensive line coaching staff, and it seems the balance of power has finally migrated back to Texas, with the advanced teachings having now shifted from Stoutland University to Adam’s Academy.

NFL overhaul tiers: Rebuild time for 18 non-playoff teams – ESPN
DALLAS COWBOYS: The hope for a quick turnaround: The offense was humming in 2025, and the core players will return, with the team expected to franchise-tag receiver Pickens. Quarterback Dak Prescott is squarely in his prime under coach Brian Schottenheimer. The defensive line is stocked with talent, and Dallas has two first-round picks with which to address its defense because of the Micah Parsons trade. Why it might take longer than hoped: Last season’s defensive back seven underperformed, forcing a look in the mirror this offseason. The addition of defensive coordinator Christian Parker will help, but reinforcements are sorely needed. Bringing back Pickens and running back Javonte Williams would be prudent.

Second Chance, Bold Moves: Dan Quinn explains his Coordinator Gamble – Hogs Haven
During Dan Quinn’s press conference with the media on Tuesday, introducing Washington’s new offensive and defensive coordinators, David Blough and Daronte Jones, respectively, the Commanders head coach said in his opening statement that he felt their vision and energy for it right away during their interviews. Their vision and energy were enough for Quinn, who is coming off a poor second season, to take a chance on two first-time coordinators. The decision to hire two first-time coordinators on both sides of the ball is thrilling. It’s a rare risk that a head coach in Quinn’s situation will take. Is it justifiable, though?

NY Giants NFL free agency 2026: Packers’ Romeo Doubs a WR to consider – Big Blue View
The New York Giants will almost certainly be looking for more pass-catching weapons for quarterback Jaxson Dart this offseason. Could wide receiver Romeo Doubs of the Green Bay Packers be an option opposite Malik Nabers? A fourth-round pick by Green Bay in 2022, the 6-foot-2, 204-pound Doubs has 202 catches for 2,424 yards (12.0 yards per catch) and 21 touchdowns in 59 regular season games. The Packers, with depth at wide receiver, seem unlikely to make a major push to keep Doubs, who will be 26 during the 2026 season.

Super Bowl halftime show predictions for 2027, featuring Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, and more – SB Nation
The 2026 Super Bowl is in the rear view, and we had an incredible halftime show by Bad Bunny that everybody loved, and absolutely nobody had a problem with. It was so nice. Now we turn our entertainment eyes to 2027 when Super Bowl LXI will be in Los Angeles once more. The last Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium featured an ode to West Coast rap with Kendrick Lamar, Dre, Snoop, and Mary J. Blige — so the next time is anyone’s guess. We sat down and tried to predict who we think will be halftime performer for the next big game.

Eagles reportedly hire former Patriots cornerbacks coach

(Photo by Fred Kfoury III/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images) | Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

The Philadelphia Eagles are hiring Mike Pellegrino “as a defensive backs coach,” according to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Pellegrino, who turns 33 in July, played lacrosse at Johns Hopkins before his NFL coaching career began in 2015. Here’s a snapshot of his experience:

  • 2015-2018 — New England Patriots coaching assistant
  • 2019-2024 — New England Patriots cornerbacks coach
  • 2025 — Buffalo Bills nickels coach

Pellegrino won two Super Bowls (LI and LIII … but not LII, of course) as an assistant on Bill Belichick’s staff. He was retained by Jerod Mayo for his sole season as a head coach but was shown the door when Mike Vrabel returned to Foxborough.

Pellegrino coached these notable cornerbacks during his time with the Pats: Stephon Gilmore (NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2019), J.C. Jackson (22 interceptions from 2019-2021), Christian Gonzalez (second-team All-Pro in 2024), Jason McCoutry, Jonathan Jones, Marcus Jones, and Jack Jones. Pretty good track record. In one year with the Bills, he worked with one of the NFL’s better slot corners in Taron Johnson.

It remains to be seen the exact title that Pellegrino will hold in Philly. It was previously reported that the Eagles internally promoted safeties coach Joe Kasper to defensive pass game coordinator and defensive backs coach in order to replace Christian Parker, who left to become the Dallas Cowboys’ defensive coordinator. The Eagles also currently have a cornerbacks coach in Roy Anderson. Maybe Anderson won’t be back? Or maybe the team is hiring Pellegrino as a nickels coach?

We’ll see. For now, this hire seems like a good one.

Eagles in mix for NFL superstar looking to be traded – NJ.com
An NFL superstar could be traded to Philadelphia in the near future. According to NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo, the Eagles will be among the top teams in the mix for disgruntled Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby, who reportedly wants to be traded. “I would put the Eagles in the top three, five, whatever [teams] for Maxx Crosby if and when this thing opens up — and I do believe it’s going to open up,” Garafolo said Friday on The Anthony Gargano show.

Maxx Crosby mock trades: Five blockbuster deals that could shake up the NFL – CBS Sports
Raiders get: 2026 first-round pick (No. 23 overall), 2027 second-round pick. Eagles get: EDGE Maxx Crosby. Howie Roseman is never shy about making a splash in the trade market. Oftentimes, he’s leading the charge on jaw-dropping offseason moves. In fact, Roseman and the Eagles reportedly checked in with the Cowboys (!) to see if they’d trade Parsons when that saga was unfolding, which suggests they could be interested in Crosby. Philadelphia did make an in-season trade to address its pass-rushing deficiencies, landing Jaelan Phillips from the Dolphins at the deadline. Before that deal (Weeks 1-9), the Eagles ranked 14th in pressure rate and were tied for 25th in sacks. After Phillips arrived (Weeks 10-18), they jumped to sixth in pressure rate and tied for fifth in sacks.

Teams that could make a run at a Maxx Crosby trade – Silver And Black Pride
Keep an eye on: Detroit Lions, Chicago Bears, Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Crosby has Michigan ties, so the Lions could be a nice fit and whenever there is trade talk, Philadelphia general manager Howie Roseman is lurking nearby. The Rams have picks and Crosby be a good fit there as well.

NFL mock draft 2026: Instant projection after Super Bowl – SB Nation
23) Philadelphia Eagles: Caleb Lomu, OT, Utah. The time might be drawing near for the Philadelphia Eagles to think about a transition plan at right tackle. Jeff Stoutland’s departure has opened the door to questions about Lane Johnson’s future, beyond the injuries the veteran tackle endured this season. Caleb Lomu has played on the left side, so a transition to RT might be in place, but the Eagles need to get the best five options in front of Jalen Hurts any way they can.

Mailbag: Will Jalen Hurts be the Eagles’ starting quarterback in 2027? – PhillyVoice
Some Eagles fans — who I assume are hopeful that A.J. Brown doesn’t get traded this offseason — watched that video and proclaimed, “OH HELL YEAH HE’S COMING BACK, BABY!” And, I get it. Brown is a great player. The Eagles are a better team when he is happy and playing well, and the most ideal situation would be if he came back and played like he did in 2022 and 2023. That clip is a big nothingburger for me. If Brown would prefer to play somewhere else, where he can put up bigger numbers than he has in Philly the last two seasons, then the Eagles will likely oblige. They typically do when a player wants out. There’s a growing list of examples to point to, like Carson Wentz, Zach Ertz, Haason Reddick, and Bryce Huff, to name a few. What the Eagles are not going to do is trade Brown for less than what he’s worth. If Brown had said something like, “Get me the hell out of Philly,” all that is going to do is (a) scare teams away from trading for a potential problem player, and (b) entice them to send the Eagles lowball offers. And then a trade won’t happen. The Eagles are smart. And Brown is smart. And really, my understanding is that there is no animosity between Brown and the Eagles’ front office. They can work together and say all the right things to find a solution that makes sense for all parties.

What system changes could come from the Eagles’ offensive staff overhaul? – The Athletic
Notwithstanding those problems, the Bucs’ passing game thrived in certain areas that were weaknesses for the Eagles. Mayfield was notably efficient on mid-to-long range passes, per TruMedia. On throws of 16 to 20 air yards, Mayfield’s EPA per dropback (0.35) was substantially higher than Hurts’ (0.08). Same with throws of 21 to 25 air yards: Mayfield (0.68), Hurts (-0.12). Grizzard’s passing game was also more diversified. The 2025 Eagles hit the NFL’s highest percentage of hitch routes per routes run (23.8) since at least 2019, per TruMedia. (This peaked a trend: the 2023 and 2024 Eagles are tied for the league’s fourth-highest percentage at 21.0.) Notably, the 2025 Bucs ran a much higher percentage of crossing routes (12.0) than the Eagles (8.3). The reason is partly rooted in philosophy. Grizzard grew from two Shanahan branches: McDaniel in Miami, and Coen, who totaled four seasons with the Los Angeles Rams under Sean McVay. Both coaches learned and adopted passing concepts that aim to stress defenses horizontally, then strike them vertically when they overreact. The Eagles’ passing game has steadily regressed since 2022, when Hurts was the runner-up for league MVP. The Eagles, under former OC Shane Steichen, ran their highest percentage of crossing routes (9.9) and lowest percentage of hitch routes (16.1) of the Sirianni era, per TruMedia.

At 91, Joe Pagliei is believed to be the oldest living Eagle. It’s made him popular at his South Jersey retirement home – Inquirer
At 91, Pagliei is believed to be the oldest living former Eagle. It is not a title he takes lightly. Last year, before the Super Bowl, his senior facility arranged for a visit from an Eagles-themed bus. Dressed in his kelly green jersey, Pagliei signed one of the bus panels: “Joe Pagliei, #32.” When he’s not lifting weights, or playing poker, he is watching Eagles games in his apartment, often with critiques of his own. Philadelphia will always be his favorite team, but he does have some misgivings about how he was used back in the day. “I was awfully good to be sitting down,” the 91-year-old said. “Not enough [playing time].”

Best trade fits for Maxx Crosby: Potential landing spots for Pro Bowl pass rusher – NFL.com
PICK: Dallas Cowboys. Armed with two first-round picks and a potential carrot in George Pickens, the Cowboys are well-equipped to acquire Crosby and cleanse themselves from last year’s Micah Parsons divorce. The five-time Pro Bowler is a potential game-changer for a defense that faltered in 2025. Crosby figures to benefit just as much, as he’s never been supported by an offense as high-powered as Dallas’ attack. The deal would also serve as a homecoming for the relentless defender, who played high school football in the DFW, making it a potential win-win scenario.

The Cowboys must re-sign Javonte Williams to avoid having a case of the Blues – Blogging The Boys
Rookie running back Jaydon Blue was expected to join Williams and be a part of the team’s rushing attack last season, but things did not go according to plan. Blue was a massive disappointment, rushing for a meager 129 yards on 38 attempts, and most of that came in the regular-season finale when Williams was nursing an injury. Blue had fewer touches than Jerry Jones’ flip phone during free agency. Blue was a healthy scratch most of the year, and when he did suit up, the coaches relegated him to the bench because he struggled to give attention to the details, proving that being fast doesn’t matter if you are running around in disarray.

Post-Super Bowl NFL Power Rankings: The Washington Commanders have a lot of work to do – Hogs Haven
Washington has the No. 7 overall pick in this year’s draft, and the power rankings reflect how poorly last season went. There is hope that the coaching changes made will have a positive effect, but OC David Blough and DC Daronte Jones haven’t called plays in the NFL, and there will be a learning curve. Washington ranks as high as #17 with faith in Jayden Daniels priming them for a bounce-back season. The other side of the spectrum has the Commanders ranked as low as #29 with serious questions across the roster, and Dan Quinn’s future as head coach.

NY Giants news: John Harbaugh’s 2026 coaching staff officially announced – Big Blue View
The New York Giants have announced John Harbaugh’s 2026 coaching staff. “First of all, as my dad always would teach us, great coaches are great teachers,” Harbaugh said. “When putting together a staff, I look for the ability to create a vision and share the vision and to get everybody on the same page in your room, guys that are demanding, guys that ask a lot of the guys in terms of a high standard. And, also, believe them into that standard, help them believe in themselves to make sure that every player knows that every coach is really in their corner.” There are 31 coaches on Harbaugh’s staff. Fifteen of those previously worked for Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens.

Arizona Cardinals to bring back Nick Rallis as defensive coordinator – Revenge Of The Birds
While the Arizona Cardinals continued their search for a defensive coordinator, there was always some who believed they may already have him. Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports is reporting that the Cardinals will retain Nick Rallis as defensive coordinator. This would be fun, since the beginning of the offseason there have been murmurs that the Arizona Cardinals could possibly, maybe, potentially hold onto Rallis as their defensive coordinator. Now, national media is reporting it is done. [BLG Note: The former Eagles linebackers coach is remaining in Arizona despite Jonathan Gannon getting fired.]

NFL wins grievance against NFLPA regarding report cards – ESPN
The NFL won its grievance against the NFL Players Association, effectively banning the union from publishing future player report cards, according to a memo distributed to all 32 NFL teams and obtained by ESPN on Friday morning. The NFLPA, however, said it will continue collecting the report card responses even if it can’t make them public. An arbitrator found that the report cards violated the collective bargaining agreement by “disparaging NFL clubs and individuals.” According to the memo, the arbitrator found through hearings with the NFLPA’s witness and counsel that the report cards were “designed by the union to advance its interests under the guise of a scientific exercise.” The NFLPA refused to produce data related to previous surveys, and the union’s witness and counsel admitted the union “cherry-picked” topics and responses to include in the report cards.

The Sean Mannion Offense: Part 1: Basic Principles

imagn-27714046.jpg

Full disclaimer: I have no idea what the Philadelphia Eagles’ offense will look like in 2026. New offensive coordinator Sean Mannion has never called plays over a full NFL season. New pass game coordinator Josh Grizzard has only done it once. There is no finished product to evaluate yet, no Eagles film to diagnose, no certainty to lean on. However, we can formulate some ideas based on past evidence. There is Mannion’s background inside the McVay–LaFleur–Shanahan ecosystem. There is his one public play-calling sample at the Shrine Bowl, where he installed an offense under time constraints. There are also years of league-wide data on how this coaching tree builds offenses.

The goal of this short series is not to guess which plays the Eagles will call, but to understand how this staff is likely to think about offense and what we might see from the Eagles next year. With free agency and the NFL Draft just around the corner, I figured it’s a good time to get into it, as there may be some key takeaways regarding the type of player the Eagles may target.

Part 1: Basic Principles

For the last few years, the Eagles’ offense has lived on “hero ball.” When things broke down, Jalen Hurts used his legs or made a wild throw to save the day. Saquon Barkley would make a defender miss and take it to the house. A.J. Brown would win a one-on-one vertical shot and score a touchdown. It’s exciting when it works, but it’s a hard way to live, especially when these players have an off game. When you rely on improvisation, rhythm can disappear quickly, easy throws get missed, and suddenly every third down feels like a life-or-death situation.

Hiring Sean Mannion is a sign that the Eagles are moving in the opposite direction. It’s more about the scheme rather than just about having the best players. Mannion is a fast riser who spent the last two seasons in Green Bay, specifically helping Jordan Love and Malik Willis master a system built on timing and design. He comes from the Matt LaFleur and Sean McVay tree, where the goal isn’t for the quarterback to save the system, but for the system to make everything easier on the quarterback.

The core philosophy is about “clarity.” You want an offense that looks complicated to the defense, by using motion and heavy formations to disguise intent, but feels simple and calm for the guy under center because he already has the answers. I went back and watched 5 full Green Bay games from last year, and a few things kept standing out.

Against Pittsburgh, the Packers align under center, with the tight end serving as a fullback-like presence in the backfield. The play-action fake holds the second level just long enough to hollow out the intermediate middle of the field, and the throw that follows is routine by design. Hurts is going to have to get used to hitting his back foot and hitting this shot. The Packers do not throw these middle-of-the-field throws anywhere near enough as the Rams and Packers do, so I think some of the worry about Hurts translating is overblown. Trust me, they don’t run this stuff as much as you expect. This is not the Rams and Matthew Stafford. However, Hurts will have to get used to hitting his back foot and getting the ball out. We’ll cover play-action in a separate article, but it’s a big deal in this offense!

Been watching a ton of Packers film of late… so here's a thread of somethings I expect to see from the Eagles next season. 1) This is classic Packers structure. Under-center play-action with the TE in the backfield opens a huge void in the intermediate middle of the field for… pic.twitter.com/hNaEUdgL8J

— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) February 10, 2026

Nothing about the play is dramatic, and that is precisely the point. It shows up as easy. It’s a routine completion! The Eagles didn’t have many of these last year. The same principle appears moments later from an entirely different picture. This time, it’s a standard shotgun RPO, and the ball leaves quickly for the tight end in the flat. Again, it’s easy for the quarterback to be right.

2) Shotgun RPO to the flat where the TE breaks tackles for the TD. This is simple numbers football. The Packers use motion a lot to try and create confusion, as they do here. The Eagles struggled with YAC last year because players weren't receiving on the run. Here, the TE… pic.twitter.com/JWM8x1CEQY

— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) February 10, 2026

Personally, I think Hurts will get used to this offense pretty quickly. A lot of the principles will suit his game. Here, we see a comeback route along the boundary, where the quarterback is trusting his eyes. The Packers’ offense has a few basic principles, such as stretching a defense horizontally and vertically as frequently as possible, which was missing from the Eagles’ offense last year. In the 3 clips I’ve shown so far, you can see a middle of the field shot, an RPO to the flat, and a deep comeback route. They are testing a defense in multiple ways.

3) A standard comeback from shotgun. The ball is out right as the receiver hits the break. Just because they use the middle of the field more, I expect Hurts to love a lot of the outside-the-numbers intermediate routes that they run, too. They do a great job spreading a defense… pic.twitter.com/a1FelATFfJ

This is the perfect play to showcase what makes this coaching tree so successful. The little subtle shifts make things easier for the players. None of this is particularly complicated, which is what makes it successful! A subtle 2×2 switch release alters the defensive leverage just enough to free the quick slant inside. I imagine this is an option route, as that’s a big part of this offense, too. Once again, this is easy on the QB.

4) 2×2 switch release that flips the DB’s leverage and results in a quick slant for 24. That choice route is so difficult to cover. Nothing fancy, just smart spacing and understanding coverage rules. This is the kind of easy middle-of-field completion I expect the new staff to… pic.twitter.com/qvTgSx1xG8

— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) February 10, 2026

Hurts’ career has already proven he can be extraordinary when plays stretch beyond their original design. What remains unanswered is whether the structure around him can become consistently supportive enough that his heroism becomes rare rather than frequently required.

A great game to watch to see this offense make things easy for the quarterback is the game against Baltimore, as Malik Willis is starting. There’s a ton of cool stuff to take away, which I will get into in further articles. Early on, we saw Jumbo personnel, which dictated a predictable single-high shell, and the offense immediately attacked the outside one-on-one created by that structure.

20) Some Malik Willis film. The first play of the game was from jumbo personnel, attacking predictable single-high with a deep outside shot and multiple answers underneath. Make it easy for your QB! pic.twitter.com/ZifGrNUbd2

— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) February 10, 2026

The design didn’t drastically change, but the scheme gave Malik Willis more opportunities to run. However, they still made things easy for Willis through formation and motion. Lining up with a nub TE vs zone coverage forces the cornerback into the run fit.

22) QB run game, anyone? Read-option QB keep for a 22-yard TD, with nub TE forcing a CB to set the edge and bubble action holding the front side. Pure numbers football. pic.twitter.com/Bv7fxyMShC

— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) February 10, 2026

The snaps that follow deepen that theme, but we will get into that next time! The more Packers film I watch, the more I see the philosophical shift in offensive creation that the Eagles want to move toward. This is not about removing Hurts’ playmaking. It is about surrounding it with enough pre-snap certainty that brilliance becomes a luxury rather than a necessity, and that things become easier for him and his playmakers around him. The quarterback is still required to execute and is still responsible for the throw, the read, and the decision. No scheme can take that away. But you can do things that make it easier for them…

25) Last one. Another QB run off an RPO with a hitch available outside. Ideally, next year, that balance produces more throws when defenses overplay the run. The Packers run the ball to set up the pass, whereas I didn't think the Eagles did that enough last year. pic.twitter.com/lK10Mls0S5

— Jonny Page (@JonnyPage9) February 10, 2026

Play design at the highest level is about sequencing easy reads inside the quarterback’s natural field of vision, marrying route timing to receiver releases, and having a counter if the defense does something you aren’t expecting. Too often, the Eagles’ passing attack felt confined to a single approach against defenses. The result was an offense that lived on deep shots, improvisation, or talent alone.

Green Bay, by contrast, generated explosive plays not only through downfield aggression but also through design that created yards after the catch and schemed receivers into open space. This is something I expect to see next year. More route concepts will ask the defense to cover the entire width and depth of the field. Even against tight coverage looks, their structure consistently produced early separation and viable checkdowns.

Any meaningful evolution under the new staff, then, is unlikely to be defined solely by the playbook or by formation diversity. It will be defined by whether the passing game finally becomes modernised, where successful plays come from structure and design, and not from individual talent.

Eagles News: One study claims Jalen Hurts is the NFL’s most hated player

Eagles Question of the Day:

Open-ended question: how do you feel about Jalen Hurts? Head over to The Feed and weigh in with your answer and explanation!

Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …

The Most Loved and Most Hated NFL Players, According to Fans – Vegas Insider
NFL fans don’t whisper — they argue. To see which players draw the most praise — and the most criticism — Vegas Insider analyzed Reddit discussions across NFL and team subreddits, tracking how often players are mentioned and whether that conversation skews positive or negative. The result is a league-wide ranking of the NFL’s most loved and most hated players. Love and hate are measured separately, so the same player can rank highly in both. […] Jalen Hurts draws the most criticism league-wide. Hurts ranks No. 1 on the hate list (Hate Score: 10.0), reflecting the strongest negative fan reaction in the dataset.

Roob’s Eagles Observations: What everyone is getting wrong about Aaron Moorehead – NBCSP
I will never understand why Hurts engenders so much negativity. All the dude has ever done is work his ass off, show respect to the fans and his coaches and teammates, inspire the people around him, never get in trouble, take his team to the playoffs five years in a row, play lights out in two Super Bowls and win MVP in one of them. He’s started 82 games and won 57, and only seven quarterbacks in history have won more games after 82 starts. He’s carried himself like a pro since he got here and respresented this city with class and dignity while going to multiple Super Bowls. What the hell else do you want from your quarterback?

The Sean Mannion Offense: Part 1: Basic Principles – BGN

Fixing the OL – Iggles Blitz
There is another interesting player to watch. The Eagles claimed Willie Lampkin during roster cutdowns last year. He is small at 5-11, 290. Lampkin played OG in college and was very good. He went to the Senior Bowl and played mostly center. He was outstanding. He played guard and center for the Rams last summer and really flashed. I was shocked they cut him. I think they were hoping he wouldn’t get claimed. He did have a knee injury that kept him off the field last year. I’d love to know what the Eagles think of him. Do they prefer him at guard or center? Do they think he can start in the NFL?

Top 10 NFL games of the 2025 season: Which NFC thriller ranked No. 1? – NFL.com
8) LOS ANGELES RAMS at PHILADELPHIA EAGLES. With their exit from the 2024 playoffs at the hands of the Eagles top of mind, the Rams completely wrecked Philly for two quarters, holding the Super Bowl LIX champions to a putrid 33 total yards. The destruction continued early in the third, with the Los Angeles offense capitalizing on the extremely short field created by a Jared Verse strip-sack of Jalen Hurts to build a 26-7 lead. As my colleague and Rams radio color analyst Maurice Jones-Drew described the scene to me later, “The Linc was shook.” Then, little by little, it was like the Eagles remembered they were supposed to be one of the most balanced and talented teams in the NFL. Hurts went on an absolute tear in the second half to obliterate the Rams’ 19-point lead. The comeback was cemented with a pair of field-goal blocks, one by Jalen Carter and the second by Jordan Davis, setting up a truly indelible image: Davis, at 336 pounds, rumbling 61 yards on the return for a touchdown as time expired. Ultimately, the Rams’ early dominance proved more prophetic than the Eagles’ late escape, with L.A. battling its way to the NFC title game. Then again, this was the first of a handful of inexplicable losses that helped make the Rams’ path just a little bit harder than the top-seeded Seahawks’.

Inaugural NFL draft was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on this week in Philly history – Inquirer
More than 20 men crowded into a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton on South Broad Street in the winter of 1936. They faced a blackboard listing 90 names of college football players from around the country. They took seats on the bed and on the bureau and passed around bottles as they kicked off the first draft in NFL history.

The trade value for George Pickens might not be as high as we think – Blogging The Boys
All reports indicate Dallas will apply the franchise tag to Pickens as soon as they can, locking the All-Pro wide receiver in for a one-year, roughly $28 million deal. The goal would be to work out a long-term deal, but NFL Insider Ian Rapoport said the Cowboys could also consider a tag-and-trade option with Pickens. If that’s the case, is the trade value worth it in the end? It might not be. Nick Harris of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram said on The Cross Chop Podcast with John Owning that the trade value of what Dallas could get in return for Pickens could be less than expected. He relayed the thoughts of an AFC scout on a trade and suggested a second-round pick with late-round pick swaps as the best case scenario, but indicated it may be just a third-rounder plus a fourth-rounder or something in that neighborhood.

Why do Spotrac and Over the Cap report different available salary cap numbers? – Hogs Haven
A key thing to remember is that both Spotrac and Over the Cap are making a number of assumptions, educated guesses and estimations. There will always be differences between the two sources, but the NFL and NFLPA publicly update the actual cap space situation once each year, which allows both sources to ‘reset’ to the same number before differences start creeping in again. The Commanders, right now, are estimated to have the 5th-most cap space in the NFL, which is quite a lot for a team with 52 players under contract. Adam Peters has plenty of ammunition for free agency, and the likelihood of getting his hands on another $18.5m by releasing Marshon Lattimore before the start of the new league year in mid-March.

NY Giants NFL free agency 2026: Could the Giants go BIG at fullback? – Big Blue View
Or, the Giants could make about as big a splash as you can make in the modern NFL when you are signing a fullback by bringing 300-pound Patrick Ricard to New Jersey from the Ravens. Ricard, entering his age 32 season, played both fullback and defensive tackle for Baltimore in his first three seasons. He has been a full-time fullback since 2020. Ricard is a one-time First-Team All-Pro (2024), a two-time Second-Team All-Pro, and a six-time Pro Bowl selection. Nikhil Mehta of SB Nation’s Ravens website, Baltimore Beatdown, does not believe Ricard will stay in Baltimore.

A look around at the noteworthy coaching changes for the Giants, Commanders, and Cowboys – PhillyVoice
My perception is that Giants fans are generally happy that Harbaugh will have a louder voice on personnel decisions than Schoen, which is understandable, since Schoen is pretty clearly in over his head as a GM. And short-term, sure, that’s fine and good, but there could be long-term issues, as future GM candidates could be turned off by a setup in which they have to defer to the head coach. Ultimately, Harbaugh will bring a base competency to the Giants that they did not have with their last three atrocious hires in Pat Shurmur, Joe Judge, and Brian Daboll. That’s bad news for the rest of the NFC East. The Giants will likely win more games than we are used to seeing. But also, in a weird way, this feels a lot like a hire geared toward just that — “base competency.” And certainly, I can understand the Giants’ impulse to raise their floor after a decade of awful football. But I also believe that this older iteration of Harbaugh has a limited ceiling, given his teams’ shortcomings in their most meaningful games over the last decade.

Eagles Question of the Day:

Can you come up with some fun Eagles-related Valentine’s Day puns/messages? Head over to The Feed and weigh in with your answer and explanation!

Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles news and links …

The biggest offseason needs for all 32 NFL teams: QBs, WRs and pass rush help? – The Athletic
Philadelphia Eagles — Offensive line: The Eagles can no longer put off a succession plan for five-time All-Pro Lane Johnson. The soon-to-be 36-year-old missed the last eight games of the 2025 season after suffering a Lisfranc injury in a Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions. Signs point to Johnson returning for his 14th season, but it behooves the Eagles to invest in a successor — preferably one who can also offer snaps at guard in the meantime. A banged-up Eagles’ O-line includes left guard Landon Dickerson, who has undergone over a dozen surgeries in his career and was notably reflective about his future after playing through pain for yet another season. GM Howie Roseman built one of the NFL’s best units. He must act proactively to avoid sudden setbacks.

NFL insider talks A.J. Brown trade rumors and possibility of the Eagles drafting a quarterback – BGN
The latest on Brown comes from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, who had the following to say on Thursday morning’s edition of Get Up.

Could The Eagles Be In Trouble This Coming Season? (PST Episode 654) – Philadelphia Sports Table
The Philadelphia Eagles have been retooling their offensive coaching in recent days and weeks since the end of the season. We also know there are a bunch of defensive free agents that may hit the market and leave Philly. Could the Eagles be in trouble this coming season? This week, Brandon Lee Gowton – BLG – from BleedingGreenNation.com joined the pod for a conversation about the current state of this Eagles team and where this offseason may go. It was a fantastic discussion!

2026 NFL offseason: Free agency, draft questions for all 32 teams – ESPN
Will the Eagles trade WR A.J. Brown? Brown has made his mark as arguably the best receiver in Philadelphia’s history, posting two 1,400-plus-yard seasons and reaching two Super Bowls since joining the team in 2022. His frustrations with the offense have been well documented, however, and it’s fair to wonder if that impacted his play in 2025. The front office will have to decide if it can get Brown to buy in or if it’s better to move on from him. “It is hard to find great players in the NFL and A.J.’s a great player,” general manager Howie Roseman said in January.

A.J. Brown’s frustrations likely affected the Eagles last season, Jason Kelce says: ‘You can just feel it’ – Inquirer
“I think whatever was affecting A.J. affected the team,” Kelce said. “And I think that A.J. was clearly affected. I don’t know to what degree A.J. affected the other guys, probably a little bit. Whenever you have somebody who doesn’t have the right energy come through the building and you can just feel it. It’s not good, right? But, I think the reality is most of the words that come out of the building — from players, from coaches, from everybody — love A.J. Brown. … There’s a genuine appreciation for A.J. Do you know how hard that is when it’s so apparent that he’s frustrated on the field?

Should the Eagles exercise their fifth-year options for Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith? – PhillyVoice
If the Eagles lose Phillips to some other team in March, picking up Nolan Smith’s fifth-year option will be a very easy decision. If they are able re-sign Phillips to a long-term extension, I believe they will still pick up Smith’s fifth-year option. The question going forward in that scenario then just becomes a matter of how many edge defenders they can afford to pay. f they believe they can pay good money to three edge defenders, then it’s an easy decision to exercise Smith’s fifth-year option. If they don’t think they can pay three edge defenders good money, they can buy more time on choosing which players to retain by exercising Smith’s fifth-year option, as both Smith and Hunt would be under the team’s control through the 2027 season. #JimmyVerdict: Exercise it. ✅.

Cooper DeJean weighs in on an Eagles’ offseason of changes – NBCSP
In just two short years in the NFL, Cooper DeJean has already won a Super Bowl and has become a Pro Bowler and All-Pro. But one of the guys who helped him achieve all that is gone. Earlier this offseason, Eagles defensive backs coach Christian Parker left the organization to take the defensive coordinator job in Dallas. DeJean on Thursday spoke to NBC Sports Philadelphia, via his partnership with the wellness brand RENPHO, about some of the changes this offseason. “He meant a lot to me. Me and Q (Quinyon Mitchell), especially,” DeJean said. “The time he poured into us in the film room, on the field, wherever it may be. He poured a lot of his time into us, making sure that we were ready each and every week. Whether we were up in his office watching film with him on who we were playing or out on the field working on technique and things like that.

Browns seek interview with a familiar DC candidate – Dawgs By Nature
Todd Monken is familiar with Cory Undlin after the two worked together with the Jacksonville Jaguars for two years (2009 and 2010). Undlin also was part of Schwartz’ defensive staff with the Philadelphia Eagles for four seasons (2016 to 2019), which means he is familiar with the defensive schemes that Schwartz used so succesfully during his time with the Browns.

Why the Cowboys should give serious consideration to trading George Pickens for Maxx Crosby – Blogging The Boys
The NFL offseason is often a theater for the bold, and former New England Patriots cornerback Jason McCourty recently took center stage on ESPN’s Get Up with a trade proposal that has everyone hypothesizing. McCourty floated the idea of the Dallas Cowboys sending star wide receiver George Pickens to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for premier edge rusher Maxx Crosby. Many Dallas fans have already visualized Crosby in a Cowboys uniform when he was a huge topic of discussion during last year’s trade deadline. He’s clearly a recurring pipe dream. But McCourty has added another element to the mix, as this scenario forces the front office to choose in a rare star-for-star swap. That’s a bit of a curveball as fans preferred to have both, but if we want to seriously consider such a trade, we should entertain the following questions.

NFL free agency – 33 guys(!) who could potentially be added to Commanders’ roster in the next 4 weeks – Hogs Haven
We saw Howie Roseman forced to let key players like Milton Williams leave in free agency a year ago — and the Eagles are expected to be awarded 3rd, 4th and 5th round picks in this year’s draft as partial compensation. I’m guessing that Howie will try to avoid a similar situation playing out in the ‘26 offseason with Jaelan Phillips, who will likely be one of three priority extensions along with Dallas Goedert and Nakobe Dean. If he makes it to free agency, I wouldn’t be opposed to Washington trying to sign him but I expect to see him back in Philly in 2026.

How fast can the Giants turn their defense around? – Big Blue View
The problem now is that the defense has mostly been awful for the past three years…just when the NFL pendulum seems to be swinging back toward “defense wins championships.” The Seahawks provide an interesting lesson on how to reach that point, although they haven’t been worse than 7-10 (in 2021) in any year since 2009. That’s OK – Aaron Schatz’s Defense-Adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) stat, which measures success on a play-by-play basis considering game situation and opponent, ranks Seattle’s 2025 defense as the 8th best since he started calculating DVOA in 1978. As Giants fans we’re not that greedy. We’ll settle for new head coach and defensive coordinator John Harbaugh and Dennard Wilson building a defense good enough to compete for Super Bowls, even if it’s not an all-time great one.

NFL Mock Draft Monday: The Sun Devils you might know

gettyimages-2240239634.jpg

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - OCTOBER 11: Arizona State Sun Devils wide receiver Jordyn Tyson (0) stiffarms Utah Utes cornerback Smith Snowden (2) and runs for a touchdown during a college football game between the Arizona State Sun Devils and Utah Utes on October 11, 2025 at Rice Eccles Stadium at Salt Lake City, Utah. (Photo by Boyd Ivey/Icon Sportswire via Getty Images) | Icon Sportswire via Getty Images

Some of us may have the day off, but mock drafts never do.

Chad Reuter, NFL – WR Jordyn Tyson, Arizona State

After a brief pause in 2024, Howie Roseman got back to trading first-round picks last year. He sticks to that habit by sending a late third- and fourth-round pick to the Vikings so he can snag another big-play machine for an Eagles offense that disappointed in 2025. Tyson dealt with multiple injuries at the college level but could prove to be a steal here, thanks to his ability to win downfield.

In this mock the Eagles trade up to 18 with the Vikings. If something like this were to happen, this would be another “how are teams letting the Eagles do this” move. Tyson has a lot of love in the draft community. I don’t quite get the hype, but that’s just me.

He may not have as much love in the NFL community though, as his injury history is a big concern. He missed time in 2022 and 2023 from a torn ACL, MCL, and PCL. He missed time in 2024 with a broken collarbone. He missed time in 2025 with injuries to both hamstrings.

Field Yates, ESPN – OT Max Iheanachor, Arizona State

The Eagles have work to do along the offensive line this offseason, especially with the injury issues that 35-year-old right tackle Lane Johnson had in 2025. Iheanachor had a great week at the Senior Bowl that fortified his status as one of the highest-upside players in this class. He has terrific size at 6-foot-6 and 330 pounds, plus his nifty footwork allows him to hold up in pass protection.

Iheanachor will need time to develop, as he did not play high school football and must refine his technique. (He took nine penalties in 2025, too.) Philly would be an ideal landing spot since he can sit and learn behind a future Hall of Famer for at least a year.

Iheanachor is a risk, but that has never stopped the Eagles.

Iheanachor moved to America from Nigeria when he was 13 and as Yates says, he didn’t play football in high school, starting his career at East Los Angeles College, a JUCO, transferring after two seasons. He started all 14 Sun Devil games this year, and 5 last year. A team that can have him continuing to bake as a backup makes sense, he’s got a lot of room to grow. He moves pretty stiff, and he looks like he’s still figuring things out. I’d also like to see my big OT play with some nastinesses, which I didn’t see from him.

The need to develop is to be expected, he wasn’t playing football five years ago. But new OL coach Chris Kuper has no track record of development, and Lane Johnson has missed time in every season since 2015, so his primary backup is going to see the field.

Alec Elijah, Pro Football Network – WR Denzel Boston, Washington

If AJ Brown moves on this offseason, the Philadelphia Eagles could turn to Washington’s Denzel Boston to fill the X-receiver role. Boston blends size, skill, and scoring ability into a package tailor-made for the NFL, offering a proven knack for turning targets into explosive plays.

Boston’s fluidity, tempo management, and zone IQ also give him polished route-running skills, making him a true X-receiver prospect with immediate impact potential. For the Eagles, he offers the kind of contested-catch ability and downfield production that can change the dynamic of the passing game from day one.

We can go ahead and skip the “if.” One reason is that this is a good draft for big WRs, replacing AJ Brown, at least in theory, will be an option in the draft. Along with Boston, Ohio State’s Carnell Tate–who won’t be on the board when the Eagles currently pick, Jordyn Tyson, Louisville’s Chris Bell, and Notre Dame’s Malachi Fields are options too.

Boston does a really good job of using his size as a weapon, but he’s not just a contested catch merchant, his separation is good too. He might not run the fastest 40 but he can go get the ball down the field. I’m a fan.

Eagles reportedly reassign pass game coordinator to QB coach

gettyimages-1441259559.jpg

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA - NOVEMBER 13: Interim offensive coordinator Parks Frazier of the Indianapolis Colts looks on during warmups before the start of the game against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium on November 13, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images) | Getty Images

The Philadelphia Eagles are expected to name Parks Frazier as their new quarterbacks coach, according to a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.

Frazier joined the Eagles’ coaching staff last offseason as their pass game coordinator. The Eagles’ passing game wasn’t strong in 2025; here’s how the team ranked in a number of key categories:

  • Passing yards per game: 23rd
  • Completion percentage: 17th
  • Dropback EPA: 16th
  • Dropback success rate: 23rd
  • Pass offense DVOA: 12th

Of course, it’s hard to know from the outside looking in how much Parker played a role in these struggles. The Eagles obviously held former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo responsible by effectively firing him from his play-calling position.

Speaking of Patullo, he used to hold the pass game coordinator title in Philly from 2021-2024. That title has since reportedly gone to former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard, who was reportedly hired shortly after the Eagles announced Sean Mannion as their new OC. The addition of Grizzard left Frazier without his old title but he’s now the Eagles’ QB coach.

This development seems to indicate that Scot Loeffler will not return to Philly just one year after leaving his role as Bowling Green’s head coach. Jalen Hurts will now have his sixth different position coach during his time in the NFL.

2020 — Press Taylor
2021 — Brian Johnson
2022 — Brian Johnson
2023 — Alex Tanney
2024 — Doug Nussmeier
2025 — Scot Loeffler
2026 — Parks Frazier

Getting back to Frazier, here’s a snapshot of the 34-year-old’s coaching experience:

  • 2015 — Samford defensive quality control
  • 2015 — Middle Tennessee State defensive quality control
  • 2016 — Arkansas State graduate assistant
  • 2018-2019 — Indianapolis Colts assistant to the head coach
  • 2020 — Indianapolis Colts offensive quality control
  • 2021-2022 — Indianapolis Colts assistant quarterbacks coach
  • 2023 — Carolina Panthers passing game coordinator
  • 2024 — Miami Dolphins offensive assistant
  • 2025 — Philadelphia Eagles pass game coordinator

As you can see, he overlapped with Nick Sirianni in Indy from 2018-2020. He also has some experience calling plays since he did that in an interim role during the 2022 season after Frank Reich got fired by the Colts.

It was previously reported that the Eagles had interest in hiring long-time assistant Greg Olson (not Greg Olsen) as their quarterbacks coach. They also reportedly interviewed Arizona Cardinals pass game specialist Connor Senger for this role.
