GM #51: Detroit Red Wings @ Winnipeg Jets

With the 1 point the Winnipeg Jets picked up against Florida, the team had moved 6 points back from the final wildcard spot in the Western Conference. Yet the NHL’s action on Friday night saw quite a few of the other franchises in the race pick up victories, so they will enter today’s contest versus the Detroit Red Wings a full 4 games back (8 pts) of playoff contention.

The Winnipeg Jets began their road trip with a win in New Jersey, but the competition will get more difficult in the second stop when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning.
