Good morning, New York Giants fans!

Kliff Kingsbury, most recently Commanders’ offensive coordinator. The Giants and the NFL at large are quite familiar with the 46-year-old Kingsbury, who parted ways with the Commanders in a somewhat surprising move. Kingsbury, a former Texas Tech quarterback, served as the Red Raiders’ head coach from 2013-18 and then transitioned to coach the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-22.

Kingsbury’s appeal is his work with quarterbacks, from Patrick Mahomes at Texas Tech to Caleb Williams during a one-year stint at USC and, most recently, with dual-threat Jayden Daniels, who was the 2024 Rookie of the Year. Dart is a scrambler, so having a coordinator who can hone in on all elements of Dart’s game is key.

YOUNG QB UNDER EVALUATION. 7. New York Giants. Jaxson Dart may have already won the 2026 offseason with the Giants’ hire of new head coach John Harbaugh. Dart showed exactly why he was selected in the first round of the 2025 draft — and why evaluations on him were mixed. He led all rookie quarterbacks in big-time throw rate, but also in scramble-plus-sack rate. Dart will need to improve at diagnosing NFL defenses and protecting himself when plays break down, but overall, the Giants have plenty to like from what he showed in his rookie season.

Charlie Weis Jr. has already played a pivotal role in Jaxson Dart’s rise to prominence as a quarterback bound for NFL success with the New York Giants. Could John Harbaugh reunite Weis Jr. and Dart in his search for an offensive coordinator?

The Giants had to deal with an unexpected curveball when OC target Todd Monken – considered likely to follow Harbaugh from Baltimore – landed the Cleveland Browns’ head coaching job as a relative long shot.

Defensive coordinator: Dennard Wilson Grade: B+. At face value, hiring the former defensive coordinator of the Titans doesn’t sound great. After all, the Giants’ last defensive coordinator also came from Tennessee, and that didn’t go so well. But Dennard Wilson is highly respected and has a strong connection to John Harbaugh.

Wilson got his first shot as a defensive coordinator with the Titans in 2024, and his unit ranked second in total defense despite a 3-14 record. Tennessee slipped to 21st this past season, but Wilson was applauded for getting the most out of a banged-up group. Now, he lands in New York.

    17. Brian Daboll, New York Giants. Was Daboll a victim of his own early success? The former Bills coordinator unexpectedly took the Giants to the playoffs and even won a wild-card game over an average Vikings team in Year 1 of his tenure, with Daniel Jones having what was to that point his best season as a pro. You know what happened next: The Giants signed Jones to an extension, didn’t commit to star running back Saquon Barkley and saw both excel after leaving New York. Daboll went 11-33 after his great season, but nobody else below him on this list won a playoff game.

RB Devin Singletary – $5.3 million (Money Saved by Pre-June 1 Cut). Cam Skattebo is the future and Tyrone Tracy led the Giants in rushing. That doesn’t leave much of a role for Devin Singletary as John Harbaugh takes over this roster. The run game will be an important element for the Giants, but Singletary is headed toward his age-29 season after averaging 3.7 yards per carry this season. Expect Harbaugh to cut ties with the veteran back and potentially add another face to the rotation through the draft or free agency.

OT James Hudson – $5.4 million Having a solid swing tackle is important. The question is whether James Hudson is a good enough swing tackle to command a $7.7 million cap hit. He played just 33 snaps and didn’t look particularly good in them, giving up a sack.
